This is where our home base for the exploration of the Solar System should be located by now. Ah, if only Arthur C. Clark had been placed in charge of our space programs to begin with...

If you know me, you know that I have an absolute love for all things concerning space and the universe as it has
revealed itself to us thus far. Below, you'll find various links to sites of interest on the net. Feel free to look around and
explore the resources provided for those of you who may be interested in the wonders of our Universe.

Also, you'll find various references to Celestia. This software package is an absolutely spectacular and absolutely
free program which allows you to explore the planets, the stars, the Milky Way and a vast number of the objects
which can be found today in the known universe. You can do all of this from the comfort of your desktop PC too.

Brain-Dead's Meanderings:

I know there's not much to see or do here yet, but I'm working on it. I'll be adding revised touring scripts
as I can get the time, and I'm back on the web now.

A note here... I would suggest that you download Vincent's new version of his Celestia patch. It can be obtained
BELOW. I suggest that you install this patch because it offers some outstanding functionality which will be used in
my new scripts. Thus far, this functionality is NOT included in the official release of Celestia.

If you'd like to yell at me, or if you'd like to know why I'm Brain-Dead, please send me an E-MAIL.

Still the most beautiful planet in the system.

Brain-Dead's Downloads:

This is Vincent's outstanding patch for Celestia. Download this file prior to any tours.
Also, just to insure that you install Vincent's patch correctly, you can read my simple
instructions HERE. Please keep in mind that this patch is not needed if you have already installed Vincent's complete Celestia Patch 1.41, Version 2.

Here lies my very first script making use of Vincent's patch. This is simply my own
version of the start.cel script and a splash image to go with it. See what you think.

This is a revision of Dr. Fridger Schrempp's original texture for Jupiter. This revision was deemed necessary by Hubble's new images of Jupiter's clouds. Apparently, there's a brand new red spot growing on the giant planet. Click HERE for more information.
