WIZF 100.9 FM, Cincinnati, Ohio

Position: On Air Announcer - Host of the weekend 10:00 PM to 2:00 AM dance music show.

 

 

Accomplishments:

  • Created website with an in studio webcam, video conferencing, and live chat to allow additional ‘online’ listener interaction. 

  • Started the “Lockdown Line” and the “Flavor Pager” phone segments– to allow additional ‘on air’ listener interaction.

  • Selected as member of TheSource.com 5-Mic Council 

 

1988 – 1994

 

WAIF 88.3 FM, Cincinnati, Ohio

Position: On Air Announcer - Host of a music and public affairs program.

 

 

Accomplishments:  

  • Obtained Platinum Sales Awards. 

  • Created the WAIF Audio Collage album project. 

  • Member of the Board of Trustees of the Parent company Stepchild Radio of Cincinnati.

Position: News Room Intern Supported the news room staff.  

  • Pre-recorded weather segments, traffic segments, and phoned in news reports. 

  • Organized and prepared news materials. 

  • Monitored police, fire, and weather frequencies for leads for potential news stories.

Leader of a team of sales, parts, and service department employees working together to run a stand alone retail store focusing on service with over $1.5 million in annual revenues.

 

 

Accomplishments:

  • Implemented weekly staff meetings. 

  • Started the Employee of the Month program. 

  • Moved up from sales associate, to shift manager, to sales manager, and eventually store manager.

Summary

I have done a lot of different things, but the things that I have enjoyed the most have been working with people, computers, and music. Obtaining a position that involves dealing with any one of the elements would be an ideal "win-win" situation for my employer and myself.
