Vintage Baseball Association News Article | |  | Monday, July 23rd, 1860: Warwick's Johnson Hurls His Way to Award Warwick Lords hurler Earl Johnson sailed through opposing strikers with the greatest of ease for a 4-0 record during the last seven days and earned himself the Vintage Baseball Association Ballist of the Week Award in the process.
He made it look easy, fanning 3 in 35 innings, allowing 40 hits and holding opposing strikers to a .255 average while posting an impressive 2.31 ERA.
So far this year Johnson has 23 wins and 13 losses and a 2.74 ERA. | |
