 | Wednesday, August 1st, 1860: Brackenridge VBA's #1 Hurler in July There was little doubt around the Vintage Baseball Association that Clayton Brackenridge would be awarded Hurler of the Month honors for July. Today, the VBA made it official, naming the 29-year-old New York Windjammers hurler the latest honoree. He thoroughly dominated the strikers who stood in against him, holding them to a .260 average while fashioning a 2.45 ERA in 14 starts. His record for the month was 12-2 in 110.1 innings of work. Looking at his season stats, Brackenridge has won 28 and lost 11, collecting 19 strikeouts and 6 walks in 316.1 innings with a 2.45 ERA. |
