Thursday, August 16th, 1860: Outstanding Outing, Shepard Whitewashes Lords
Gary Shepard effectively shut down the Lords today, blanking them 7-0 on 2 hits, ringing up no strikeouts and allowing no walks. The Yanks hurler appeared to get stronger as the match went on.

"I don't know if I was getting any stronger," Shepard said after the match, "I feel like my mechanics were getting better. I was able to make some adjustments and get a little more comfortable out there."

The Lords manager said, "We had some opportunities, but weren't able to execute. We just didn't swing the bats very well today."

To date this season, Shepard has a record of 32 wins and 15 losses and a 2.78 ERA. He has appeared in 52 matches and struck out 26 in 414.1 innings.
