The news wasn't quite as bad as initially feared, but the closer will miss 1-2 weeks with a back spasms. "We feel we've dodged a bullet. When you see a guy break down like that, you worry right away," a team spokesman said. Towns suffered the injury throwing a pitch in the match against the Lords.
Looking at his pitching stats for 1860, Towns has appeared in 16 matches, pitched 43 innings and fashioned a 3-4 record with a 2.93 ERA. He has recorded 1 save, struck out 3 and allowed opposing clubs to hit .279 when he is on the pitcher's point. | |
