 | Sunday, June 10th, 1860: Celoron Whitewashes White Plains According to Adam Smalley of the Celoron Orioles, "There are three important elements in hurling success: location, location, and location." He told his pitching philosophy to sportswriters in the post-match interview after his 3-0 victory over White Plains. He whitewashed them on a 2-hitter, allowed no walks and had no strikeouts. "I really felt comfortable the whole game," Smalley said. His manager echoed his comments, saying, "He hit his spots time and time again." In 17 starts this year Smalley has fashioned a 9-4 record and a 1.29 ERA. |
