Amatuer Baseball Association News Article | | | Sunday, May 27th, 1860: Landey Strikers Parsippany-Troy Hills Township for 5 Hits "It was almost like warm ups. I saw the horsehide very well and could just about hit it anywhere I wanted." That's what White Plains first baseman Doménico Landey said to the newswriters after his fantastic 5-6 day against the Parsippany-Troy Hills Township Spiders at Red Caps Ballpark. "I got some good counts and used the whole field."
The Red Caps had a good day, too, and won the match 20-3.
D. Landey hit a solo-shot off H. Rodney in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, hit a two-run single in the 5th and hit a two-run home run off R. Curry in the 7th.
So far this season, Landey has recorded these figures: 11 matches played, .306 BA, 15 hits in 49 at-bats, 2 four basers, no walks, 7 RBIs, 13 tallys and a .306 OBP. | |
