The Vintage Baseball Association Striker of the Month has been selected for August, and the award went to the standout Elizabeth third basetender Scott Fassett. He posted a .419 average with 31 hits in 74 at-bats, 1 four baser, 23 RBIs, 3 walks, 19 tallys, and a .430 OBP.
During the 1860 season Fassett has hit .327 with 4 four basers and 58 RBIs. He has played in 62 matches and tallyed 58 times. |

The 36-year-old Elizabeth Ironmakers catcher might not have the spring he had in his step years ago, but the "old man" can still play the match.
