Saturday, July 28th, 1860: Parsippany-Troy Hills Township Whitewashes Barre
He didn't put a spell on them. It wasn't black magic, it was just old-fashioned good pitching. That's how Heinie Rodney of the Parsippany-Troy Hills Township Spiders whitewashed the Barre Woodchoppers 1-0.

After tossing a complete game 4-hit whitewash, he was all smiles, saying, "I threw a lot of my hurls for strikes in this match. I mixed it up and tried keeping these guys off balance."

His own manager said, "He's at his best when he gets ahead of the strikers." Rodney walked 0 and struck out 1 in the victory.

The Woodchoppers manager commented on their lack of success against him, saying, "He was throwing his breaking ball for strikes and we never capitalized on any of his mistakes."

In 1860 Rodney has compiled a 14-17 mark with a 1.87 ERA.
Thursday, May 31st, 1860: Ensor Sizzles! Smokes Red Caps for 5 Hits!
Steven Ensor really sizzled at the dish today. In a game played at Ballpark of Parsippany, the Parsippany-Troy Hills Township third baseman blistered the White Plains Red Caps for 5 hits in 6 at-bats to pace his club to a 13-4 victory.

"Ensor was too tough to get out today," the Red Caps manager said in his post-match interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good hurls, too."

S. Ensor singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th, hit a two-run home run off G. Chidester in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th.

Year to date in 13 matches Ensor has compiled a .305 average with 18 hits in 59 at-bats, 1 four basers, no walks, and a .300 OBP. He has also tallyed 10 times and knocked in 10 runs.
Sunday, May 27th, 1860: Landey Strikers Parsippany-Troy Hills Township for 5 Hits
"It was almost like warm ups. I saw the horsehide very well and could just about hit it anywhere I wanted." That's what White Plains first baseman Doménico Landey said to the newswriters after his fantastic 5-6 day against the Parsippany-Troy Hills Township Spiders at Red Caps Ballpark. "I got some good counts and used the whole field."

The Red Caps had a good day, too, and won the match 20-3.

D. Landey hit a solo-shot off H. Rodney in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, hit a two-run single in the 5th and hit a two-run home run off R. Curry in the 7th.

So far this season, Landey has recorded these figures: 11 matches played, .306 BA, 15 hits in 49 at-bats, 2 four basers, no walks, 7 RBIs, 13 tallys and a .306 OBP.
