Monday, August 13th, 1860: Amatuer Baseball Association Striker of the Week
The Amatuer Baseball Association presented its most recent Ballist of the Week Award to Wyomissing Hills Mary Janes first baseman Boots Lord.

"His numbers speak for themselves," a club publicist said. "He's been really seeing the ball well."

Indeed, Lord has. Last week he went 8 for 15, batted .533 with 0 four basers and 2 RBIs.

In his 1860 season totals, Lord has posted these current numbers: 2 four basers, .304 BA, .323 OBP, 38 RBIs and 43 tallys.

Wednesday, August 1st, 1860: Northen Gets ABA Striker of the Month Trophy
Even though he is a newcomer to Amatuer Baseball Association, Rodney Northen put up some hefty numbers in July and brought home the Striker of the Month trophy.

He was one of Wyomissing Hills's offensive leaders with a .360 average in 17 matches. He also racked up 3 four basers, 14 RBIs and 20 tallys.

If Northen keeps up this level of performance, he is certain to have a bright future in the league.

This year Northen has hit at a .332 clip with 69 hits, 3 four basers, 25 RBIs, 11 walks, a .364 on-base percentage and 55 tallys.

Monday, July 30th, 1860: ABA Names Best Ballist
This week's Ballist of the Week was Rodney Northen of the Wyomissing Hills Mary Janes. His big bat beat up on Amatuer Baseball Association pitching for 9 hits in 15 at-bats, 1 four basers, and 6 RBIs while hitting .600 and tallying 6 times.
