Negative Criticisms (picky points for the most part)

  • As pointed out by Harry Wise the front axle has too much slop.  He offers a simple and effective fix, but I would go another route.  I would shorten axle only enough to make it scale but then shim the axle with brass or plastic tubing.  Either way works.  His is easier and mine is the way I do it.

  • This is a generic criticism that fits most open cockpit cars with just a small windscreen, the plastic is too thick and always fits poorly.  Someday I will figure out a fix.

  • Ninco always covers up the ventilation holes on the NC-5.  Leave it, remove it or cut out the holes.  I remove the whole wrapper as I like to glue my motors in place and the hot glue sticks better.

Positive Points

  • Two screw connection on the body.  When the screws are loosened this allows more body movement.

  • Ninco durability.
