Sunday, September 7: Fr. Tom celebrates his 50th JUBILEE as a priest at the 10:30 AM Mass! A reception hosted by his family will follow in the parish hall. "50 years! Imagine that!"

21: Calling our 60+ group: On
Sunday, September 21st we will have a Pot-luck brunch for our 60+ group. Right
after the 10:30 Mass in the 2nd floor Community Room in the Catholic Center.
There will be a presentation by Mary Lee Rossbach entitled the "Gift of
Years". RSVP by September 11th by calling the parish office at (513)381-6400.
Calling ALL teachers!
Sunday, September 21st is Catechetical Sunday. At the 10:30 AM Mass we bless
all of our PSR teachers, CLOW leaders and all parishioners who are teachers
in schools around the city!
Also on Sunday, September 21st the Men's
Spirituality Group holds it's first fall session in the chapel
of the Catholic Center from 9:15AM to 10:15 AM. New men are most welcome. Currently
the group is using Brennan Hill's Spiritual Heroes. Come for some prayer and
discussion, some exploration of men's approach to God. For more information

15th Anniversary: The next event is our St. Francis
Day (Oct. 4) Fun Run/Walk at Miami Whitewater Forest. See fliers at the church

T-shirts and Tickets to the November 8 Dinner/Dance
go on sale in September. UC students get a discounted price of $25. Regular
Tickets are $35. We need Patrons to purchase tickets at $50 and Sponsors at
$100.
There will be a Churchchat at Linda & Gary Robbins'
house, co-hosted with Carol & Joe Metz, September 30th, 7-9PM. RSVP at 541-5213
or joemetz@fuse.net. Churchchats are an informal way of gathering in the homes
of parishioners and talking about what's working well and what your hopes and
dreams are for our faith community. It's a good way of building community and
meeting other parishioners in a cozy setting. If you would like to host a Churchchat
in October, November or December call Ann at 381-6400.
Sunday Hospitality Coffee, juice and donuts are returning!
Children now have their #1 reason to go to Mass! Starting September 14th, hospitality
is available after morning Masses.
Food Pantry is in need of bags, bags, bags! We need
bags! Plastic, brown grocery, shopping and cloth handle bags. Tell your friends,
relatives and neighbors. Now is the right time to collect all that cold weather
clothing that you won't be needing. Children's clothing is always needed. Want
to volunteer? Call Janet at 751-8771.
Religious Ed Program: Thanks to all who have volunteered to help with this ministry. Religious Ed classes will begin on Sunday, Sept. 14. If you would like to register your child please contact Ann Boltz at the parish office or Becky Questa at rquesta@fuse.net
RCIA begins September 28. If you or someone you know may be interested in becoming a part of our great faith tradition, grounded in the person and the message of Jesus Christ, have them contact Ann and we'll begin with a conversation.
Recycling our Paper: In our ongoing Parish effort to help improve our environment we will be placing a paper recycle bin on our property within the next month. We would like you to bring your paper to our bin. The parish will receive $5 per ton for paper that is recycled. The bin CAN accept newspapers, envelopes, magazines, folders, catalogs, fax & copy paper, mail and colored paper. The CANNOT ACCEPT Cardboard or phone books or kitchen or bathroom paper. The big green & yellow bin has arrived so bring your paper to work to recycle it!
Kroger Neighborhood Rewards Program: This month we received a check for $377.51 bringing our YTD total to $6,273.85 since July 1st, 2007. A big THANK YOU to all of you! Keep reloading your cards! Visits to our sick and shut-ins: We NEED LOTS of volunteers! Those who participate in this ministry love it! Do you have an hour a month to brighten someone's day? Is there anyone in the parish who is trained in healing touch, Reiki or massage therapy and would occasionally be able to donate his/her services to our shut-ins? Call Ann for more details.
