Where did I come up with this? A designer asked me to build it from a black and white picture. I thought "No problem". This was an engineering nightmare but the finished product was worth all the head scratching. Made of home harvested walnut, the top consists of 96 individual pieces. The base consists of an addition 24 pieces. The four leaves fold down and store underneath to create a square top.  Finished in clear nitrocellulose lacquer.
