"The Woodmizer Guys"

I'd like to introduce you to Mr. George Helmer and sons. They are weekend sawyers who take an extreme amount of pride in their work and especially in their equipment. I don't think I have ever seen such a well maintained machine. Their Woodmizer is over 10 years old and in immaculate condition. They work together very well and turn out a very good product.

The hardest part of this job seems to be preparing the logs to go onto the mill. Each log has to be stripped of bark. I helped and it is a tedious and nasty job. However, the rewards are great and when George and the boys roll the log up onto the mill and start sawing, you start to feel good because you just know some really nice (and cheap) lumber is about to come your way. Thanks to George and the guys and the folks at Woodmizer for the wonderful opportunity to create your own.
