Do you know outstanding, well-rounded individuals (30) thirty years of age and under who excel in their chosen fields; achieve leadership through their work and community service; are exemplary role models; and are making a positive impact on the African-American community? If so, please nominate them for the “Reach For The Stars” Award.

Ten (10) emerging African-American leaders will be selected on their professional achievements, community service, and demonstrated leadership abilities. This Award will salute individuals who are changing the Greater Cincinnati area for the better. We will honor emerging African-American leaders who deserve the prestigious recognition that this award embodies.

Recipients will be honored at a Gala Reception on Wednesday, February 4th and Luncheon on Thursday, February 5th, 2004 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the Xavier University Cintas Banquet Center during Black History Month. Applause! Magazine will feature profiles of each of them in a special Black History Month Edition, and Fox TV-Channel 19 will feature vignettes on each emerging leader during the month of February. There will also be a photo exhibit with profiles of each of these bright, emerging leaders displayed in the Atrium of the Downtown Public Library at the Walnut Street entrance.

We are proud to recognize these phenomenal young African-Americans. We need your help in identifying them. Nominations are requested for individuals who touch the lives of many, influence their community and serve as examples for others. Please take just a few minutes to complete the nomination form and return it to the Applause! Magazine office by 5:00 p.m. on December 8, 2003.

Don’t miss this opportunity to salute and honor the excellence of people who have touched the lives of many by their contributions.
