SK Most Rev. Carl Moeddel passed away on August 25, 2009.
Bishop Carl K. Moeddel was named auxiliary bishop of Cincinnati in 1993. A native of Elmwood Place in Cincinnati, he attended St. Aloysius School and St. Gregory Seminary before beginning studies at Mount St. Mary's of the West. He was ordained to the priesthood in 1962. Bishop Moeddel served as an associate pastor and pastor of St. Louis Church in Cincinnati, pastor of the Cathedral of St. Peter in Chains and St. James Church in Wyoming, assistant chancellor of the archdiocese, director of finance for the archdiocese, and vicar general and director of the Department of Pastoral Services. He retired in 2007.

for District #2, has passed away. District Marshall Richard Tabler will
finish the rest of David M. Hoffman's term.Before our 04-21-09 meeting our gift policy for newly ordained members of our Assembly was discussed. It was approved at our 05-19-09 Meeting

Vatican Approves Decree of 'Heroic Virtue'
Pope Benedict XVI declared Father Michael J. McGivney venerable March 15, 2008 approving a decree of "Heroic Virtue" for the parish priest who founded the Knights of Columbus. This step significantly advances Father McGivney's cause for sainthood.
