How is your computer working? Is it sluggish, slow, smoking, exploding? Has it gotten to the point that smoke is pouring from the case, and shrapnel is flying around the room? Are you about to replace it, or smash it with a pick-ax? Admittedly, new computers today are pretty cheap, and sometimes it's not worth getting the old one "fixed up". Sometimes it is better to upgrade to a new machine. But you might consider having your present computer looked at, and getting some options before shelling out some money you would rather keep.

OPTION ONE: Take it to the MEGA COMPUTER STORE, and have some "professional" computer wizard attempt repairs. Usually successful after a couple of attempts, and always expensive.
OPTION TWO: Call one of the traveling Computer Geek Squads, and have 'em swarm your house, come into your castle, scare your cat, and possibly fix your computer. Not cheap. They also require snacks when they show up, and get into a real snit if you don't have the right stuff. Make sure you have pizza on hand too!
OPTION THREE: Send an email to the neighborhood computer fix-it guy, and get his opinion. If he's any good, he will probably have some sage advice, and probably give you a tentative estimate to repair your machine. At least offer to look at the thing if you bring it in. No snacks required!
OPTION FOUR: Set the thing out on the street, donate it to your favorite charity or most hated enemy, drag it behind your car, or all of the above, and buy a new computer.
