The song is by a band called Jellyfish

Daddy liked the name so much...
My name of course!

November 26,
2007 - Merry
Christmas
everybody!
Welcome back.
Before I get into everything, I wanted to let you guys know something...
Mommy and Daddy are getting a new computer
soon.
While that's all fantastic, it may mean getting new software.
Specifically, new Web-Site creating
software.
So, until I get a handle on the new
goodies...
This may be my last update for a while.
Fret not, I will be more consistent updating
the The
Blog ,
so until then, check there for any
and all updates.
As soon as I get familiar with the new software,
I'll be back here with a vengeance.
Now, onto the update!!! (even
this one will be short...
I'll post more with pictures at the blog in just a few days!)
Me & Santa
discussing my "Goofy Present"
and my "Bunch of toys"
I hope everyone had a fun and safe
Christmas.
Mine was FANTASTIC!
Holy Cow! My head is still spinning.
A week ago, My aunt Cheryl &
Uncle Tony came into town from Florida.
Not only did we celebrate Christmas Part 1 then, but also My
Great Grandpa Gus' 100th Birthday!
It was great to see them again, and even better to spend a holiday.
Then on Christmas
Eve, I went to Pappas' and Mammas' and had Christmas Part Duex.
Christmas morning, we awoke and I (after finding Santa indeed ate my cookies
and left me a lovely note), I opened Santa's presents for Part 3. We then had
Breakfast
and afterwards did my family's gifts (Mommy's, Daddy's, mine and Nanna's).
Part 4
After lunch, Grandma and Uncle Greg came over
with Chloe and Angie and we
we " the kids" open a few more
presents, had dinner, Then opened the rest.
Part 5 & 6.
And we do it all over again Saturday morning
when Uncle Shawn, Aunt Julie, Lindy
& Audrey come over.
I ask you... What's better than seven Christmases???
Stay tuned and see The
Blog for
more updates with Christmas Pictures
in just a few days!
Until then.
Happy New Year!
Love, Brina
November 7,
2007 - Hey everybody!
Welcome back.
What’s that? "Did I have a nice Halloween?" You ask.
Unfortunately no, I didn’t.
IT WAS FREAKING
AWESOME!!!
For two weeks straight
I’d ask Mommy or Daddy if it was time to Trick or Treat.
It couldn’t get here fast enough.
Then finally it arrived.
I got to wear my Costume to Linda’s party
(that’s where I go to Day Care 3 days a week)
and then when I got home, we had pizza, Grandma came over,
as did
Logan
(Mike & Tina) and
away we went.
Logan
was a Cowboy and I, of course, went as a Dragon. Blaaaah! (That’s
the sound a dragon makes... duh : )
Anyway, I had a blast and I’m not to keen on having to wait another
51 weeks... Geesh, I thought two was bad!
Well, it didn’t seem to take very long...
I’ve got myself a cussword. I even use it in the correct context.
Better yet, Mommy & Daddy think it’s cute and don’t mind me using it.
What is it? You ask...
Doughnut.
That’s right.
As in “I can’t get this lid off... umf... DOUGHNUT!
~~~~This
is Mommy...
Apparently, whilst doing
something not far from my daughter,
I got a little agitated and blurt out
***Darn it!***
Well, when she looked at
me,
You know that dog like cock the head to the left look...
Thinking quickly on my feet, I said,
“Yes sweetie... Mommy said doughnut.”
Well, it’s been doughnut ever since...
Sorry sweetie. Go ahead.
I wish you and Daddy would quit doing that!
...Doughnut!
Oh well,
Be back soon (and yes... there are more pictures : ).
Love you,
Sabrina
Chip off the ol' block...
Blaaaah!
Trick-or-Treat!
Here I come...
There I go...
My Precious...
October 5,
2007 - It's me again...
Just wanted to chime in with a quick hello.
Not much new (except a few photos).
But I did promise you a pic or two from
Kings Island.
That place is really neat. I can't wait to back next year.
Of course, I'll also get to have even more fun.
Apparently, they have this thing called a "Height Minimum".
Well, yours truly stands an astounding 35 and a half inches tall (with my
jimmies).
Theirs truly requires me to be 36" tall to ride almost everything...
Therefore, I wasn't as pleased as I could be (neither was Mommy & Daddy
after standing in line to be told no even with an adult...)
But next year... Next year will be different!
Anyway, I had a great time hanging out with my cousins Lindy & Audrey.
Really, the only other thing of interest (at
least to me) : )~
My hair is finally getting long enough to attempt
to do something to it.
That is, if I'll leave it alone.
Which I normally don't.
Which Mommy & Daddy
love.
Which makes me ask them to
put it back in.
Which lets me take it out.
Which Mommy & Daddy
love...
This goes on and on :
)
Anyway,
I leave tonight to go stay with Nana for the weekend.
Yeaaaaaaaa!
I haven't seen her since my birthday, so I can't wait!
Here are those pics I
promised...
Love you all!
September 26,
2007 - Hey guys & gals.
Guess who's back?
It's me. Sabrina!
FYI, It's doing something today I haven't seen all summer...
It's raining!
It's also starting to cool down a bit too.
I'm really looking forward to Fall this year.
With all of the pumpkins and leaves and football and...
Oh yeah, HALLOWEEN!
Nope, I don't know what I'm gonna be yet,
but I can't wait. So many things to do.
I have to carve my pumpkin (we picked it out last weekend
at a pumpkin farm. I got an apple and some apple cider too!).
I have to get my costume ready. Rake leaves and work on
my "Twick or Tweat" too!
Moving on,
I went to the zoo again with mommy & Daddy.
We also "ran into" Uncle Greg, Angie and Chloe.
It was fun running around with them.
This time we got to ride the train. Oh boy, it was neat!
It went Choo Choo and everything!
I was as giddy as a little girl on a train... Wait a minute...
Anyway, I also went to Kings Island with Uncle Shawn, Aunt Julie
and my cousins Lindy & Audrey. Well, and Mommy & Daddy too.
I'll get a few pics up of that adventure a little later (so check back soon!).
Last but not least, Labor Day weekend, I went
swimming for the
last time this summer. : ( I'm gonna really miss that pool.
I'm getting to be a really good swimmer. I still use my swimmies,
but that's only because I didn't get to spend as much time swimming
as I wanted to. Next summer, I'm gonna rock it!
Yes, yes,
I have some pics and movies for you.
You know I wouldn't leave you hanging!
Me and my pumpkin...
August 14,
2007 - I'm
twooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
Wow. What a year. I can't believe I'm officially a toddler.
Even most of my clothes now run in years instead of months
(except for a few odd 36m's... "What's
up with that?").
Anyway,
As all of you who read this know, I turned two on Saturday, August 4th.
The weekend didn't start off so hot (I mean good... the
heat was miserable!).
You see, the binky fairy came and took away all of my binkies.
Though warned, it was still somewhat unexpected and certainly
not appreciated. I stayed in denial for a solid week. I'm doing
better at
bedtime now, but I still can't get comfortable and end up playing for an
hour or so before falling to sleep.
But the weekend wasn't ALL bad. Saturday when I awoke
from my nap,
the house had been decorated in everything Mickey (Mouse).
How cool is that? Mommy (baked) and Daddy (decorated)
even made me
a cake that looked just like Mickey. I made everyone that came over that day to "Come
see my Mickey Cake!"
And mmmmmmmmmm was it good. I told Mommy and Daddy I wanted
the ear (well, a piece of the ear... the ear itself was
and 8" cake!).
Not to mention I got lots of cool presents, "THANK
YOU EVERYBODY!"
Let's see...
I had my 2 year, doctor's check up this week.
He says everything's going great.
I am 2 feet 10.5 inches tall. (did
you hear that... tall! And feet!
I'm now measured in tall & feet!!!)
It took me a while, but if my math's correct, I came up with 34
1/2 " tall.
I also weigh in at an astounding 30 pounds.
I'm in the 50th
to 75th
percentile in both weight and height.
High Five!
I even had a little fun with the doctor and nurses...
They asked Mommy and Daddy how many words I can say and
if I can talk in 2-3 word sentences yet...
Hah!
I showed them. I told them that a couple of months ago,
Mommy flew to Minnesota on a plane. That
Grandma visited Aunt Cheryl
in Florida. That I live in Cincinnati,
Ohio. That at the Zoo I saw the Manatees,
Polar Bears, Elephants
and Chimpanzees. And that I like Hippopotamuses.
Seeing the doctor stop writing in mid sentence just see if Daddy was actually
a ventriloquist was pretty darn funny.
I gave Daddy another High Five for that!
Anyway, to keep you up to speed...
Although no one's stopped to count, Daddy thinks my vocabulary is
well over 500 words. My sentences have reached ten words. I speak
in multiple sentences at a time. I've started singing. I'm fond
of
Kwinkle, Kwinkle little star, The Muffin Man, Row, row, row MY boat,
Old McDonald had a Farm and of course my ABC's (minus the
"J").
Oh, and that L, M, N, O, P is one word spelled Elaminopee.
Well, that's all for now.
Of course, I wouldn't leave you without pics...
Hope to see all of you very soon!
Toodles!
June 19,
2007 - Well, according to the ticker
up top I have only 1 month and two weeks
until my birthday. Can I just say that this year has absolutely flown by?
I mean, Jan. 1st I barely had any hair (not that I can put
it in a ponytail yet,
but I think I'm getting close)!
Anyway, Mommy and Daddy finally took me
swimming. Wow.
Just, wow. It beats the heck out of the bathtub. I mean this is some
super fun stuff. No, if you are wondering, I can't swim... yet.
I'm working on it. Right now, I kick my legs together so I look like a
mermaid!
I'm sure it won't take long to learn to kick my feet at opposite times.
Daddy was swimming the length of his pool when he was 2 weeks past
his 2nd birthday. I figure that give me a month. Yeah, I don't think I'll
master
it that soon either, but as long as I keep having fun, no ones gonna keep
tally, right Daddy?
"Right, sweetie."
Hey, my page!
"Sorry, Punkie. By all
means, continue..."
Where was I? Oh yeah, Swimming! I
can't wait to go back again.
Well, as usual, here are some pictures.
Also two short movies... just click the arrow in the
bottom left corner!
(Note: The additional movies
that are now promoted in a bottom row
after the movie plays are NOT
of me. No need to click unless you're just curious!)
Bye
bye. See ya soon!
Swimming with Mommy and Daddy...
Apparently,
Daddy has been lacking in the "sending out updates"
department lately, so make sure you continue reading down
until you've hit familiar territory. He promised to do better.
We'll see! ; )
Also, make sure you hit the
Blog for those exact reasons...
Above is a picture of
me. It is NOT altered in ANY way.
No Photoshop used. No trick photography. This is just what I look
like...
Standing still.
As far as updates go, I can't seem to go to
long without stepping
on Mommy & Daddy's bottom lips. They seem to be on the ground
a lot lately. Not sure why. Although this little bomb could be one reason.
This past Saturday, we were sitting down to eat as a family (like always).
Well, Daddy sat down and asked where mommy was.
I replied...
"Mommy went in other room, she get new bib."
Well, Daddy looked at me cross-eyed for a few moments.
Apparently, so they were told, I should have a firm grasp at putting
together a few two-three word phrases.
I guess they should have told me this. Five to seven words have been
my standard lately ( like, "Uh oh, Mickey fall
down, go boom."),
but that little nine- word diddy seemed to flow real nice.
Needless to say, I've decided on NOT taking
their assumptions to heart
and talk when & how I want to.
Speaking of which, outside of grey, silver and gold I know my colors,
like mauve and periwinkle - just teasing ; ) I've got this counting to 10 thing down (altho,
I think it's fun bypassing
six & seven sometimes). My recollection of animals expands
by day.
A few weeks ago, Daddy took me to the zoo and I couldn't stop talking
about the Manatees, Peacocks & Flamingos. Not to mention the Elephants,
lions, tigers, yes, & the bears, turtles, fish-ies, apes (the
"L's" in gorilla's I
don't do so good with, so they're apes), giraffes, buffalo, sea lions,
spider monkeys, leopards, wolves, etc...
I won't even get into the farm animals...
So see, I don't know why their mouths are always hanging open.
What's the big deal?
Ooo,
I did give Daddy a nice "Happy Cake Day"
(Birthday) present...
I finally said my own name (and haven't stopped since).
I don't know why it took me so long.
I'd say hippopotamus, but I'd just giggle when asked to say my own name.
In case you are wondering, it comes out as "Sabweena".
Anyway, now that it's staying warm out (or
as Daddy likes to call it,
"gosh it's hot"),
I'm really taking a liking to this digging thing.
I also like to "picky flowers" and
play "soccer ball".
And of course my favorite "Daddy, walk
a bit? Pease?" Again, the "L's"...
I'm hoping to go swimming soon, so I'll be sure to let you all know
how that goes.
As always, pics for you...
"Bye
bye. See you soon!"
And here it is... My last growth chart.
Daddy said he'd help me do it for about
a year. Well, it's definitely been a year.
I know this is something that
everyone has
really enjoyed seeing.
Daddy caught a peak of me posting this...
I saw him tear up just a little. He can't believe
I've changed this much in just a year.
Honestly, neither can I.
