Cincinnati Brass Band
	Request for Audition

The Cincinnati Brass Band holds auditions for all brass and percussion primarily in the fall of each year. If you are interested in joining the band or being on our sub list, please fill out the audition form via the link given below. You may be invited to attend rehearsals prior to the auditions. See the main webpage for our schedule and directions.

Members are required to attend at least 80% of scheduled rehearsals (about thirty per year, usually on Saturday mornings with some Wednesday evenings) and all performances. Members must also pay Cincinnati Brass Band dues ($45 per year) and NABBA dues ($35 per year).

Brass players need to have appropriate instruments, for example, cornets instead of trumpets, or alto horns instead of French horns. In certain cases, the band may be able to locate a suitable instrument for a member's use. All brass parts, except for bass trombone, are written in treble clef, either Bb or Eb.

The formal concert dress is a navy blue blazer, gray slacks, white shirt and a special red tie that is provided by the band. The informal concert dress is khaki slacks, and a special red shirt that is provided by the band.

The band will travel outside the Cincinnati area several times per year. In April, the band will travel to the NABBA competition in New Albany, Indiana, near Louisville, KY. Members are usually responsible for their own travel and/or hotel arrangements.
