The Observatory Building will house a 14" or 16" Scope (Type to be determined) under a ten foot dome.
The current Meade 10" LX200 will be moved to a second observatory located at the rear of the current building under a eight foot dome and will be used for automated Supernovae & Near Earth Asteroid Search.
The scopes are computer control using The Sky Astronomy Software and MaxIM DL 4. Four computer are used, one for camera and telescope control one for image processing one for general computing and web access, and one for dome access to the three control room computers.
A Santa Barbra Instrument Group (SBIG) 2000XM CCD Camera with CFW-8 Color Filter Wheel and A07 Adaptive Optics Unit is used for deep sky imaging and a SAC-7B is used for planetary imaging
The Telescope Room is 10 X 10 with an 10 X 10 control room.
