The Aaron Saunders family is buried in the Saunders Family cemetery, on the "Prosper Well" Farm, just north of Leesburg The farm is at the northeast corner of state highway 15 and state highway 661 just a few miles north of Leesburg, Va.. Aaron Saunders named the farm "Prosper Well." The Saunders family sold the farm to John Henry Whitmore. Mrs. Sarah Whitmore as of this writing, owns the farm. A delightful southern lady, she loves to talk about the farm’s history. The farmhouse itself takes you back into time. Aaron’s original log house was torn down and the present day stone house was built. Two additions to the house can be seen. The cemetery is at the southeast corner of the farmhouse grounds. The headstones are in good condition and are readable as of this writing. The discrepancies between the information from the Balch Library records and the recorded gravestones haven’t been cleared as of this writing. The gravestones read: Capt, Aaron Saunders, 24 Nov 1757 - 28 Dec 1828 Susan C. Saunders 1771 1846 Alfred R. Saunders 29 Mar 1798 – 29 May 1830 Alcinda 29 Mar 1826 – 11 Jun 1834 Ann B.
