Presley Saunders founded the city of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. A great many
of the Saunders family resided in Mt. Pleasant. Alvin Saunders was the
first territorial governor of Nebraska. Saunders County, Nebraska is
named in his honor. 

 Jonathon married (18 Dec 1823) Sarah McKinnie.

 Nancy married Amos Locke. With children Mary Ann, Frances, Sarah Jane,
Nancy, Alvin, James, and Louisa

 Francis married Robert Mackey and then the Rev. Arthur Miller

 Presley married Edith Cooper and then Huldah Bowen.
