Children born to this marriage were: James Hardy William Elizabeth Elias John Mary Lewis Robert Hendrey (Henry? possibly raised by Uncle James) Although William lived in Fairfax County, Virginia probably most of his life, his Last Will and Testament was entered and probated in Frederick County, Maryland. James (William’s son) married (1766) Mary Gore Children born to this marriage were: William Gunnel (16 Feb 1769 -15 Sep 1825?) An entry in the Shelburne Parish, Loudoun County, Virginia records, 10 May, 1778 reads: "The Church Wardens of Shelburne Parish bind Wm. Gunnel Sanders, aged 16 year the 16th of Feby, last to Edward Stephens to learn the trade of Blacksmith accg. to law." William Gunnel Sanders later moved to Chester County, South Carolina in 1799 where he married Mary Young known to be a resident of Chester County.
