Dave Sanders' Genealogy Notes is a collection of information gathered from many sources which we hope will be of benefit to genealogists. What started as a personal collection of notes about the descendants of James Sanders and Ellen McClerkin, has turned into a much broader library of genealogy data. Please take some time to browse around this site.

If you have data that may be of interest to other genealogists, please forward it to us and we will make it available on this website.

    What's here?
  • Bios - Short biographies, anecdotes and newspaper articles about ancestors and other historical people.
  • Census - A collection of transcribed census records as well as census images, mostly related to individual families or individual census districts.
  • Links - Links to websites of genealogical interest. Genealogy sites, genealogy resources, government data, family history websites, passenger lists, cemetery listings, family trees and other lists of genealogy research sites.
  • Marriages - Lists of marriages, mostly from the 19th century, marriage bonds and marriage certificates.
  • Misc. - Genealogy records that wouldn't fit into the other categories or that span categories. Also, old maps, post office info and deeds indexes.
  • Obits - Transcriptions of obituary notices, death records and newspaper articles.
  • Photos - Photographs of ancestors and old high school class photos, as well as other school photos.
  • Products - Books and other resources to aid your genealogy research.
  • Trees - Family trees as well as other documentation which shows family relationships.
  • Wills - Transcriptions of Last Will and Testaments. Wills contain much family tree and genealogy information.
