Not doubting butt att The General Resurection I Shall Receive the Same Again by The mighty power of God and as Touching Such worldly Estate wherewith itt Pleased Almighty to bless me with in this Life I give and Divise and Dispose of the Same in the following manner and form. Imprimas I Loane the Use of manner Plantation with all my Land Belonging to it Unto my beloved wife MARY HART During Her Natural Life. Item: I Give and Bequeath Unto my Loving Son HENRY HART my Plantation in The Meadows where NATHANELL SANDERS Formerly Lived with all the Land belonging to it. Item: I Give and Bequeath Unto my Grandson JOHN SANDERS the Lower part of my Survey as I took Up in the Meadows to be Sixty acres by Line of Marked trees More or Less and Residue of the Land Survey I Give and bequeath Unto my Loving Son HENRY HART. Item: I Give and bequeath Unto my beloved wife MARY HART My Negro wench called Harte and her hearas her Increase and to be att her Disposall as She Think Fitt. Item: I Give and Bequeath Unto my Loving Son HENRY HART My Mill with all appurtenances belonging to itt and Three Negores To Witt: Robin, Archer, and Treece. Item: I Give and Bequeath Unto my two Loving Daughters JANE BROWN and MARY SANDERS Fourty Shillings Proclaimation money to Each of them to be Levied and Raised out of my Estate. Item: I Give and Bequeath Unto my five Grand Children To Wit: JOHN SANDERS and SARAH SANDERS and EURIDICE SANDERS and THOMAS SANDERS and MARY ROSE SANDERS. Each of them two Cows and Calves to be Levied and Raised out of my Estate and to be paid when they come to age or Married. Item my will and Desire is that when my Just Debts is Paid that the Residue of my Estate Both within Dorrs and without with Stock of all Kinds Shall be Equally Divided between my Loving Son HENRY HART whom I appoint my whole and Sole Exctr. and my Loving wife MARY HART and I do hereby Utterly Revoke all former wills and Testiments before Named by me Ratifying and Confirming this and No Other to be my Last will and Testiment In witness hereof I have Sett my hand and Seal the day and year above Written and my will and desire is that my Estate Shall not in no ways be Valued and Appraised 1749. Northampton County NC Will of Hart, Mary - 1759 File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives VHighfi@uhc.com In the name of God amen, this 24 day of October in the year of our Lord Christ one thousand seven hundred & fifty nine, I MARY HART of Northampton County & Province of North Carolina being in perfect health mind & memory thanks be to almighty God & calling to mind that it is appointed for all men to die when it shall please God to call I do therefor make & ordain this my last will & testament recommending my soul into the hands of God that gave it and my body to be buried at the discretion of my executors hereafter named, and as touching of my worldly Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me with my Just Debts & funeral expenses being first paid I give & dispose of the same n manner & form following (viz) Item, I give & bequeath unto my Daughter MARY SANDERS ten shillings current money of Virginia to her & her heirs forever in full of her share of my Estate. Item I give devise & bequeath unto my Daughter JANE BROWN ten shillings current money of Virginia to her & her heirs forever in full of her share of my Estate. Item I give devise & bequeath unto my Grand Daughter BRAMLY CAROLINE BROWN five pounds current money of Virg to her & her heirs forever. Item I give devise & bequeath unto my Grand Daughter MARY ROSE SANDERS five pounds current money of Virginia to her & her heirs forever. Item I give devise & bequeath unto my grandaughter LOUISA SANDERS the Daughter of WILLIAM LANCASTER & SARAH his wife my negro boy named Sterling to her & her heirs forever. Item I give devise & bequeath unto my son HENRY HART my four Negroes named Kate, Florah, Jenny & Bain & their increase from this time with all the remainder of my Estate both in Doors & without to him & his heirs forever. Lastly I do hereby nominate & ordain and appoint my Son HENRY HART my sole Executor of this my last will & Testament hereby ratifying & confirming the same In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & fix my seal the day & year first written. The preceding will of MARY HART decd was exhibited in Court and proven by the oath of all the subscribing witnesses thereto at the same time HENRY HART was qualified Executor of which on motion was ordered to be certified.
