Upcoming ECC Stuff

ECC Christmas Party.....Dec 1st....It was decided to have the Christmas Party at the Monthly meeting in December.  The 20 Mile House is closed so the venue will be the Montgomery Inn.  Please let me know if you plan to attend!!  Details listed below under "New Business"

NCRS Swap Meet.....Feb 21st....Held annually at Montgomery Chevrolet with a vast array of Vette parts and accesories.  The club has purchased a booth so any member who has parts they wish to sell may display them at the booth.  Great time to get rid of some of that stuff you have been meaning to sell!  We are in need of volunteers to man the booth so keep the day in mind.

New Richmond Cruise-In......
See you in the Spring!

Milford Cruise-In.....See you in the Spring!

Quaker Steak & Lube......See you in the Spring

New Or Old Business

Eastgate Christmas Party......
December 1st marks the date for the club party.  It was decided to have the meeting/party at the Montgomery Inn in Montgomery.  They will provide a private room for us as long as we have some idea of the headcount.  By popular demand, Cathy Plummer has agreed to provide entertainment with one of her famous trivia games.  The winner, or winning couple, will receive a  nice prize provided by the club. Anyone can bring an unwrapped toy that will be donated before Christmas.  Please let me know if you plan to attend to we can provide adaquate space at the dinner.

Local Cruise-Ins.....I would assume that in the Spring I assume there will be great car events every week.  One is the Milford Cruise-In which boasts a tremendous array of cars every Friday night.  The other is the Quaker Steak & Lube cruise on Sunday nights.  Every week there are 14-15 Vettes that attend.

Vinyl Eastgate Signs.....Sandy  brought a Vinyl banner, 23" X 36" that fits nicely on the windshield of Vettes to display our logo at Cruise-Ins and shows.  The cost is $35.  The banner looks great on the car and is a great way to promote our club.  Sandy will bring one to the next meeting for you to see.  Anyone interested in having one of your own can contact Sandy and he will fix you up!

Corvette Museum Brick......Many years ago the club contributed to the museum with the purchase of a commerative brick.  I know it's there, I saw it.  Carl Plummer reports that the older bricks, including ours, have been moved to the rear entrance to make way for the new entrance.  There is interest that the club purchase a new brick.  They range in cost from $125.00 to $2700.00.  It was decided to table the decision till Spring.

Club Events Calendar......
At a previous meeting an events calendar for the summer and beyond was prepared.  Everyone had ideas of things to do and dates of old standby events.  I have prepared and posted the 2009 calendar on the webpage.  I encourage all members to review it and supply me with any additions or corrections.  Late Winter will provide a time to set up the 2010 calendar.

Planning Committee.......

Children's Hospital....
At a past meeting Phil Schott read a "personally signed" letter from Children's Hospital thanking us sincerely for the $5,000 check presented to them in July.

Pictures and Contests......I think that everyone agrees that the "memories" photos and the "name that car" contests are terrific!!  Roger, keep up the good work!!!!

Eastgate Property....As reported previously all or most of the Eastgate stuff is safe.  It is either upstairs at the Woeste  dealership or in the possession of members.

How can we improve the Club????   Various ideas were discussed at the July meeting.  One improvement is the great photo gallery via E-Mail that Roger has already provided for us.  He asked all members to submit any news or photos that would be of interest.  Other ideas included more road tours, a membership drive, and the possibility of conducting our meetings at different member's homes.  Roger suggested that each of us contact 2 former members inviting them back to the club. After discussion, Roger invited the club to hold their next meeting at the McHugh's.  Phil Schott suggested that each member attending the meeting, or any future meetings held at member's homes, contribute $5.00 to help defray the cost of food and drink with the club treasury picking up any shortage.  This suggestion was made into a motion, voted on, and approved.

Club Roster.....  As Secretary, I have continued to update the Roster information including past members and friends. After discussion, it was decided that we will drop inactive membership information from the roster, and E-Mail list.  Only members that are currently "paid" in the past fiscal 12 months will be included on the list.  This change will take effect as of next month's newsletter.  As always, the roster information that I currently have is posted on the web, but not on our website.  I did this to keep this information available to club members only.  Please check the info there and send me corrections so I can keep it current.

Club Historian.....    Roger continues his request that anyone that may have photos, either electronic or conventional, that would be of interest to the club for historical purposes, to let him know.  He would be happy to scan any photos and return them to you.  Roger plans to forward photos he has taken at club events to me, and I will E-Mail them to our members.  Anyone not wishing to receive these photos via E-Mail, let me know, and I will take you off of the "photo" list.

Club Clothing.... Please support Promotional Advertising Printing Inc. for the club's clothing needs!  Discounts apply even for just one piece.  They have the Club's logo! Please visit them at Montgomery Square, 9873 Montgomery Rd. Cinti. OH, 45242.   1-513-961-3075   These folks do a super job!  Please visit these folks for all of your Corvette apparel needs.  I believe that Robin Meyer still has some logo hats for $13.00 each, or 2 for $25.

Decals..... I know that Paul Sheffer has more club decals for sale at $3.00 each.  If you are interested please give Paul a call.

Submissions to the letter....  If you would like to submit an article or other news event or interest to the club, please do so by sending an electronic copy of the article.

Corporate Donations.....   Keep in mind that any Corporate Donations we can come up with can certainly help the kids at Children's Hospital.  If everyone gives this some thought, we could probably pick up a few bucks for the kids!

Name Tags......   Anyone having club name tags should wear them whenever possible (except in the shower)
