Award Winning Painting to Be Exhibited in Philadelphia This February and March

The Declaration of Independence by Fabienne Christenson

The Declaration of Independence

by Fabienne Christenson
acrylic and oil on canvas, 32 x 48 in.

I submitted this image for a show in Philadelphia called Too Funny for Words because I thought they might appreciate the wry humor in this piece as well as the obvious social implications. Much to my surprise, not only was I juried into the show, but I was awarded the second place prize for my work. To make matters better, the judge was non other than Tony Auth, the Pulitzer Prize winning cartoonist of the Philadelphia Inquirer. I was over-the-moon when I found out the news. So may painting will be shown in ArtForms Gallery from the end of February to the end of March.

Next Open Studio

Final Friday February 27th.
1310 Pendleton St. 8th floor, Cincinnati, Ohio from 6-10 p.m.
