80 years old.
Declarant states the he discharged the duties of Waggon Maker during the whole term of his service.
Declared he resided in Prince Edward Co. when he enlisted.
There is documentary and traditional evidence, although the documents lack connection to required seal.

Declaration of William Tyre on 28 August 1832

He was drafted in Prince Edward Co., Virginia and put under the command of Capt. Jesse Owen or Owens & Lieut. Dudley McDernon. He was marched from PEC to Hillsborough where he joined the army under the command of Genl. Gates. There he was appointed a Sgt. and was a waggon maker. He was with Gates' army at the time of the defeat at Camden but was not in the action because of his duties as Waggon Master or warder of supplies for the army. He returned to Hillsborough and then to Guilford Court House where he was regularly discharged. He thinks Col.s Stubblefield and Faulkner commanded his regiment and Gen. Stevens the brigade. He thinks he entered service in April or May 1780.
Question: Where, and what year was you born? I was born in Powatan County and State of Virginina in the year 1752.
Question 2nd: Have you any record of your age, if so what is it? I have no record of my age, but it will be found by consulting the records of the Church of England in Powatan Co. Va.
Question 3rd: Where were you living when called into the service, where have you lived since the Revolutionary War, and where do you live now? I lived in Prince Edward Co. Va. when called into service. I continued to live within same place in said county until the year 1807. I then removed to Smith County, Tennessee and remained there ever since.

Declaration Sarah Tyre, aged 81 of 19 Jan. 1837
widow of william Tyre who was a pensioner
They were legally married in 1773 or 1774 as well as she can recollect; that she had 3 children when her husband entered service.
That they were married by the church parson in the county of Buckingham, Va.
William Tyre died on 30 Sept. 1833, and she has remained a widow since.
That through old age and bodily infirmity she is unable to attend to court.
