Dog Sledding!
January 18-19, 2003 found me dog sledding in Sundridge, Ontario.
Ravenswatch Dog Sled Tours took good care of us.  They supply everything you need except warm clothing.  The meals were excellent and the guides were a wealth of information to a bunch of rookies.  None of us who were on the tour had been dog sledding before, we quickly became seasoned veterans.  Not quite seasoned veterans, but we got a good taste of the sport of "mushing."  It is great fun for sure, but much more work than I had thought.  At times I thought that the dogs were having more fun and doing less work than the mushers.  These dogs are ready, willing and able.  For more information here is the link for Ravenswatch:    Ravenswatch Dog Sledding Tours     Your only regret will be that the trip has to end.

The dogs get a little excited when it's time to go

Terry cruising, there is no better way to travel in the snow.

My good friends, Terry and Chrissy goofing off while having lunch on the trail

Sunday morning in Canada's "near north"

It is so peaceful and beautiful that you hate to leave.  You become one with nature, no sound but the runners on the snow, the occasional jingle of a harness, or the swoosh of a passing raven.
