BIZZARO, Elisha. The aviation community, friends
and family mourn the passing of our brightest star, Elisha Spence Hall
Bizzaro. She died on September 20th, (2001) less than one month shy of
her 33rd birthday. She is survived by her mother, Elizabeth Martel of Shirley,
MA; her father, George Hall of Harvard, MA and her sister Thomasin O'Donnell

may be written to Women In Aviation, Intl and may be mailed c/o Women In
Aviation Heart of It All Chapter, P.O.
Box 26104, Cincinnati, OH 45226. Prior to Elisha's graduation from Middlebury
College, the first seeds of her flying future were being planted. After
college she spent time in Russia managing a student exchange program. While
there she also gained her first hands-on exposure to commercial flying-compliments
of some Aeroflot pilots. When she came to Cincinnati in late sumer of 1997
she came with a private pilot's license and a dream of a flying career.
Most recently as Manager of
Dispatch for Executive Jet Management, she was able to
continue her exposure to various other aspects of aviation while pursuing
her love of flight. Friends, coworkers and family cheered and encouraged
Lish as she accomplished her Instrument rating and earned both her Commercial
Single and Multi-Engine Certificates. Immediately, she put them to good
use as both a traffic watch pilot for Cincinnati Flight Training Center/B-105
and as a pilot for Richmond Skydiving. She also had just begun flying as
an SIC on a Citation Jet. Her long-term flying goal was to become a DC-3
captain, an airplane with which everyone knew she had and enduring love
affair. Incredibly, Lish had time for many other interests outside of her
EJM job and her flying pursuits. She was both President and a founding
member of the
Cincinnati ""Heart of it all'' Chapter of Women in Aviation,
International. Outside of aviation, her favorite hobby was riding her beautiful
yellow Ducati with friends. She also enjoyed any activity that allowed
her to be outdoors bathed in sunshine, snow, water or sand. She was a dog
lover, an avid reader, a skier and snowboarder, a member of AOPA, a seasoned
world traveler and an expert cheesecake maker. She was our supportive sister
and loving daughter, our loyal friend and determined coworker, she was
love and
energy, she was dreams and hope and, always, she was
her own best champion in her pursuit of happiness.
