EARLY, Ruby Bunch, age 74, of Corbin, KY passed
away on Tuesday, March 8, 2005 at the Baptist Regional Medical
Center.She was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church. She was preceded
in death by her parents; Booz and Rachel Bunch and her husband; Herbert
Early.She is survived by a daughter; Anna McHargue of Corbin, KY, (2) grandchildren;
Jennifer Knuckles and husband, Trent of Corbin, KY, Jeff McHargue and wife,
Jodie of Corbin, KY, (1) great granddaughter; Mary Elizabeth McHargue,
(2) step-great grandsons; Alonzo Dewey Nelson and David Nathaniel Nelson,
all of Corbin, KY, (1) brother; Brent Bunch, Florence, KY, several nieces,
nephews and a host of other family members and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services were held on Friday, March 11, 2005 at the Hart Funeral
Home Chapel with Rev. Sam Smith officiating. Burial followed in the Corinth

EAST, Frank, age 81, of Monticello, Ky. passed
away Thursday, February 3, 2005 at his home. He was born
January 10, 1924 in the Betsey community of Wayne Co., Ky., the son of
the late Andrew Tilden East and Kitty Evy Sloan East. He married Gladine
Rose on November 22, 1947, who survives. He is also survived by one daughter-Kitty
Cooper of Monticello, Ky.; two sisters-Stella Lois East of Somerset, Ky.
and Linnie Munsey of Monticello, Ky.; and one grandchild. Preceding
him in death was one child-Teddy Gene East; three brothers-Willie East,
Charlie East and James East; three sisters-Lillie Ballou, Lucy East and
Evy Hurt. He was a member of the Meadow Creek Methodist Church. Funeral
services were held Sunday, February 6, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral
home chapel with Bro. Austin Flowers and Steve Wheeler officiating. Burial

Biloxi, Mississippi, daughter of Daniel Gaither Pitman and Annie Bell York
Pitman, formerly of Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, January
11th, 2005 in Mississippi. She was born January 1st, 1913 in Poynter, Kentucky.
She was a homemaker. She resided on the coast since 1991. She was a member
of Friends of the Library in Biloxi. Mississippi, Wichita, Kansas and Somerset,
member of Goodwill Homemaker Club of Somerset, Member of Rebecca Lodge
#126 in Somerset, member of AARP and Senior Citizens Group. She attended
Sardis Christian Church and was a member of Mintonville Methodist Church.
She is survived by two daughters; Eunice Conley, Biloxi, Mississippi and
Clarice Ruby Williams, Wichita, Kansas: two sisters; Velma Sweet, Cincinnati,
Ohio and Winnie Dick, Science Hill, Kentucky: 10 grandchildren and numerous
great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; Carol
Ray Eastham: her parents: three brothers; Otha Pitman, Ralph Pitman and
Andrew Pitman: one sister; Zella Estep. Funeral services will be 11:00
a.m., Monday, January 16th, 2006 at the Chapel of Morris and Hislope Funeral

Eaton, Leemon, Sr., 88, Grundy Road, Somerset,
Kentucky, passed away Monday, May 24th, 2004 at Lake Cumberland
Regional Hospital, Somerset, Kentucky. He was born February 27th,
1916 in Pulaski County, Kentucky, a son of the late John Eaton and Cora
Sowders Eaton. He was a Farmer, Trustee, Training Director, Sunday school
teacher and member of the Rock Lick Baptist Church. He was an Executive
Board Member for the Pulaski Southern Baptist Association. He is
survived by his wife; Lucille Eaton, whom he married on May 5th, 1951:
one son; Leemon (and Janet) Eaton, Jr., Somerset, Kentucky: three granddaughters;
Myra Eaton Lewis, Krystal Eaton and Mary Elizabeth Eaton: 4 step-grandchildren;
Ken, Julie, Donny and Jennifer: 3 step-grandchildren; Andrea, Jacob and

Ethel Hicks Edwards, 88, of Crab Orchard, died Tuesday at Central Baptist
Hospital in Lexington. Born Dec. 10, 1915, in Lincoln County, she was the
daughter of the late Isaac and Lucy E. Lafevers Butt. She was the widow
of Frank Edwards. She was a former Sunday school teacher and Berean Bible
Class member at Watts Chapel Baptist Church, where she had been a member
since 1951. Survivors include a son, Robert L. Edwards of Stanford; three
sisters, Mildred Cupp of Indiana, Birdie Miller of East Bernstadt and Goldie
Hicks of Hamilton, Ohio; two brothers, Cleo Hicks of Michigan and Thomas
Butt of Crab Orchard; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

EDWARDS, Gloria G. -HARRODSBURG - Private graveside
services for Gloria Garner Edwards, 76, of Bacon Court, Harrodsburg, will
be held in Hillcrest Cemetery. She died Monday at her home. Born Feb. 21,
1928, in Fayette County, she was a daughter of the late A.T. Barnette and
Love Chapman Garner Abraham and the adopted daughter of the late Lorenzo
"Tubby" Garner. She was a homemaker and the widow of George W. Edwards.
Survivors include two daughters, Georgeanne Edwards of Perryville and Judy
Zenere of Georgia; three sons, Donald G. Edwards of Richmond, Bill Edwards
of Versailles and David Edwards of Woodford County; and five grandchildren.

EDWARDS, Gordon Mason, 69, Walnut Street, Cincinnati,
formerly of the Mt. Victory community, died Wednesday, July 28, 2004, at
the University of Cincinnati Hospital. He was born in Somerset Dec.
2, 1934, son of the late Mary Elizabeth Edwards. He was a retired data
processor for Proctor and Gamble Corporation and was a member of Mt. Victory
Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Koenig Edwards; a
son, Brian Edwards, Cincinnati; a daughter, Mary Ann (and Bobby) Curtis,
Indiana; a brother, Oakla “Bub” Edwards, of the Mt. Victory community;
two grandchildren, Ashley and Amber Curtis; and a special cousin, Theresa
Morgan. He was preceded in death by his mother. Graveside services were
12:30 p.m. Saturday, July 31, at Jones Cemetery with Bro. J.S. New officiating.

ELLIOTT, John Grey- STANFORD - John Grey Elliott,
71, of McKinney, died Thursday in Lexington. Born Feb. 3, 1933, in
Lincoln County, he was a son of the late Ransom and Ruby Garner Elliott.
He was a farmer, a member of McKinney Christian Church and the widower
of Faye Singleton Elliott. Survivors include his wife, Ann Rozen
of Danville; two sons, Ronnie Elliott of Junction City and Donnie Elliott

was born February 24, 1930 in Aurora the son of Floyd O. Emery and Carrie

Estes, 59, of Danville Road, died Sunday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical
Center. Born Oct. 4, 1946, in Garrard County, she was a daughter of the
late Hubert E. and Louise Huffman Montgomery. She was vice president and
operations officer of Whitaker Bank of Garrard County and a member of Grace
Baptist Church in Danville. Survivors include her husband, Bobby Estes;
a stepson, Gregory A. Estes of Nicholasville; a stepdaughter, Bobbie S.
Birchum of Nicholasville; three brothers, Kenneth and Dwight Montgomery,
both of Lancaster, and Maurice Montgomery of Madisonville; a sister, Joyce
Montgomery of Lancaster; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Services
will be 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Grace Baptist Church by Don Fotner. Burial
will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Randy,
Rodney, Daniel and Gary Montgomery, Ricky Birchum, and Ron, Paul and Dale

EUBANK, Casper, 58, Eubank, passed away Saturday,
July
17, 2004. He was born Feb. 28, 1946, son of the late Sherod and
Pauline (Saylor) Eubank. He was a farmer and a retired truck driver. He
was married to Jewell (Williams) Eubank on Oct. 27, 1966. Survivors include
his wife; a son, Steven (and Jamie) Eubank, Eubank; two daughters, Valerie
Eubank, Eubank, and Stephanie (and AL) Cox, Faubush; three brothers, Sherod
Jr. (and Martha) Eubank, Roachdale, IN, Doug (and Lena) Eubank, Spring
City, TN, and Jimmy (and Brenda) Eubank, Richmond, KY; a sister, Jan (and
Johnny) Farley, Somerset; a grandchild, Haley Ann Hatfield, Eubank; a mother-in-law,
Lois Williams, Eubank; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded
in death by four brothers, John, Lonnie, and Chester Eubank and Forest
Eubanks; three sisters, Mildred McKeehan, Opal Niewanier, and Nell Hampton.
Funeral services will be at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home on Tuesday,
July 20, 2004 at 2 p.m. Bros. Ferlin Price and Scott Ingram will officiate.
Burial will be at Griffin Cemetery in Eubank. Friends may call on Monday

EUBANK, Richard Zens - SCIENCE HILL - Richard
Zena Eubank, 84, of Eubank, died Wednesday at Lake Cumberland Regional
Hospital in Somerset. Born Feb. 14, 1921, in Estesburg, he was a son of
the late Lemont and Nora Griffin Eubank. He was a retired minister, mechanic
and bus driver. He was a member of Estesburg Church of Christ. Survivors
include his wife, Eva Fisher Eubank; a son, Mark D. Eubank of Eubank; a
daughter, Kay Eubank Sanderson of Charlotte, N.C.; a brother, Thad Eubank
of Eubank; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services will
be 1 p.m. Friday at Morris and Hislope Funeral Home by Gerald Carter. Burial

EVANS, Calvin Franklin - LIBERTY - Calvin Franklin
Evans, 80, of Napier Street, died Wednesday at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
Born July 26, 1925, in Casey County, he was the son of the late Rowland
and Mallisa Chansler Evans. He was a retired farmer, member of Green River
Valley Baptist Church, and widower of Mazie Sallee Evans. Survivors include
four daughters, Anita Campbell of Lexington, Mallisa Walker of Lawrenceburg,
Brenda Campbell of Clay City, and Glenda Cox of Versailles; two sons, Franklin
Evans of Versailles and Rowland Evans of Lancaster; a brother, James Evans
of Versailles; a sister, Clara Evans of Liberty; a caregiver, Charolette
Hood of Versailles; 18 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and four
great-great-grandchildren. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at McKinney-Brown
Funeral Home by Johnny Patton. Burial will be in Green River Valley Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Robert and Delbert Campbell, Adam, Rowland and Josh

EVANS, Emma of Liberty died Monday, Dec. 19, 2005
at the Casey County Hospital. She was 90. Born in Casey County on Jan.
22, 1915, she was a daughter of the late Perry and Bertha Crockett Overstreet.
She was a former owner of Emma's Restaurant in Liberty, homemaker and a
member of Salem United Methodist Church. She was the widow of Jack Williams
and Welby Evans. Survivors include two sisters, Jewell Luttrell of Dunnville
and Virgie Willham of Erlanger; and a brother, Clarence Overstreet of Cincinnati.
She was preceeded in death brothers and sisters, Clellie, Elmer, Ethel,
Laura, Gertrude, Myrtle and Lincoln. Funeral services were Dec. 22 at McKinney-Brown
Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Simpson officiating. Burial was in Salem Cemetery.

EVANS, Henry Louis - Services for Henry Louis
Evans, 72, of Orlando, Fla., will be 2 p.m. Friday at Stith Funeral Home
with military rites by Boyle Post 46, American Legion. Burial will be in
Bellevue Cemetery. He died Sunday at Florida Hospital in
Orlando. Born March 25, 1932, in Burgin, he was the son of the late George
and Nora Hill Evans. He grew up in Danville and graduated from Danville
High School. He served as a sergeant in the Army and later was a member
of the Danville National Guard Unit. He was discharged in 1966 after 15
years of service in the guard. He joined Danville Fire Department and was
part of the team that formed the original Boyle County Fire Department,
where he served as assistant fire chief. He entered the printing industry
where he was a successful plant manager for several companies before working
at Howell Business Forms, Jacksonville, Fla., where he retired. He was
the treasurer and a member of Eastside Baptist Church, Orlando, where he
was a Yoke Fellow. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Bryant Evans of Orlando;
three daughters, Loudetta Ann Robertson and Lenora Jayne Walls, both of
Danville, and Deborah Lee Evans of Orlando; two sons, Henry Louis "Sonny"
Evans, Jr. of Danville and David Wayne Evans of Danville; a sister, Glenda
Selby of Danville; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Pallbearers

EVANS, June Mason, age 72, of Middlesboro, KY
passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2005 at Middlesboro Health
Care. She was born on September 26, 1932 in Middlesboro, KY to the late
Hillary and Mollie Mason. She was a member of thhe Northside Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by (3) brothers; Willard, Leonard Foster and
Hillary, Jr. (6) sisters; Helen Mason, Edith Cawood, Ada Martin, Edna Sampson,
Gracie Crites and Elizabeth Ackerman. Survivors include her husband of

Evans, 82, of Simpson Lane, will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Calvary Baptist Church

Born June 12, 1922, in Garrard County, he was the son of the late Dence
Edward and Victoria Upton Evans. He retired in 1985 as safety, transportation
and communication director at Kentucky State Hospital. He was a former
police officer in Danville and Harrodsburg and served as police chief in
Perryville. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include his
wife, Leota Taylor Evans; a daughter, Patricia Evans Casey of Parksville;
a son, Jerry Evans of Louisville; a sister, Jewell Ballard of Harrodsburg;
four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 6-9
p.m. Saturday at Wilder Funeral Home and after 8 a.m. Sunday at the funeral
