VanArsdall, Donna -HARRODSBURG - Services for Donna Marie VanArsdall, 89, of Lexington, were Saturday at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery. She died March 13 at Pimlico Manor Nursing Home of Lexington. She was the widow of Riker VanArsdall, formerly of Harrodsburg. Born Feb. 29, 1916, in Baker, Ore., she was the daughter of the late George and Emma Southworth Bagley. She was a retail clerk and a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Survivors include three daughters, Marie Fletcher of Ill., Linda Fine and Nancy Ormson, both of Texas; and a son, Richard Pearce of Va. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Linford Pearce. VanDivier, Vergie - HARRODSBURG - Services for Vergie VanDivier, 89, of Harrodsburg, will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Greg Humpert and Raymond Watts. Burial will be in Burner's Chapel Cemetery. She died Sunday at James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital. Born Feb. 24, 1916, in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Cordie Tyler Hungate. She was a retired teacher at Hill Top School and a seamstress at Cricketeer Manu-facturing Co. She was a member of Bruners Chapel Baptist Church where she was active in the Faith Sunday School Class. Survivors include a son, Barry VanDivier of Harrodsburg. VANHOOK, Edith Mae Huckaba, 96, Brodhead, formerly of Somerset, died Thursday, June 14, 2001 at the Sowder Nursing Home in Brodhead. She was born May 15, 1905 in Wayne County, Tenn., the daughter of the late James Fletcher and Carrie Meek Cypert Huckaba. She owned and operated a fabric shop in Mt. Vernon for several years. She was a member of the Women's Auxiliary of Gideons International, a member of Eastern Star, and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Somerset, belonging to the Mae Roberts Missionary Circle. Survivors include three daughters, Blanche Reuter, Cincinnati, Nancy Mullins, Mt. Vernon, and Sue Kirby, Somerset; eight grandchildren, Becky, Janet, Annette, Dyche, Carrie, Callie, Tonya and Wayne; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne VanHook; two brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 16 at 11 a.m. at Cox Funeral Home, Mt. Vernon. VANHOOK, Grace Marie, 90, of Connersville, Indiana, a native of Pulaski County, died Friday, April 18, 2003, at her residence. She was born July 13, 1912 in Pulaski County, and was one of fourteen children of James and Amanda Helen Whitaker Woodall. On April 23, 1932, she was married to Sidney L. VanHook of Pulaski County, and they moved to Union County, Indiana in 1942. From 1953 until her retirement in 1979, she worked in housekeeping at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She moved to Connersville from Butler County, Ohio, in 1982. Her hobbies included crocheting and quilting. Survivors include four sons and two daughters, Clinton J. VanHook and wife Beruta of Garland, Tx.; Edsel Lee VanHook and wife Barbara of Hot Springs Village, Ar.; Jessalene Allen, Mary Jo Bryant, Kenneth VanHook and wife Paula, James E. VanHook and wife Pat, all of Connersville; twenty-two grandchildren, three of whom she raised; thirty-three great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; two brothers - Warren Woodall of Somerset and Carlos Woodall of Mt. Carmel, Oh.; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband (died July 29, 1980), daughter Sarah Helen Thomas (died March 8, 1980), grandson Tommy Bryant; nine sisters and two brothers.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted by Brother Scotty Nix at 2 p.m. in the Acorn Cemetery in Pulaski County. Friends may call Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday.

VANHOOK, Leamon E., 61, Hubble Rd., Stanford, KY, died Saturday, Feb. 22 at his residence.
He was born on July 14, 1941, son of the late Wiley Everett Vanhook and Milda Burdine Vanhook. He was a native of Pulaski County. He was a farmer and mechanic. Survivors include three sons, Cecil (and Debbie) Vanhook of Stanford, Harvey Joe (and Kim) Vanhook of Madisonville, KY, Micheal Vanhook of Stanford; two daughters, Kathy (Ancil) Dykes of Stanford and Susie (Lon) Cameron of Stanford; two brothers, Bill Vanhook of Somerset and Joe H. Vanhook of Florida; one sister, Wanda Holt of Somerset; 15 grandchildren and a special nephew whom he raised, Bill Correll. He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Moore Vanhook and his parents. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, at Fox Funeral Home in Stanford with Bro. Jeff Whitehouse officiating. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery. VanHook, Lena Sandidge, 86, of Moreland died Sunday, June 17 at her residence. A native of Lincoln County, she was born June 27, 1920 to the late Thales Madison and Mattie Mae Bishop Sandidge. She had retired from Hustonville School, where she cooked for 30 years, was a member of Moreland Christian Church, and the widow of Everett Maurice VanHook. She was also preceded in death by an infant son. Survivors include two daughters, Patty VanHook and Connie (Marvin) Wilson of Moreland; and nieces and nephews, including LaVon (James) Laswell and Jana, and Ronnie (Brenda) and Dale (Donna) Allen. Funeral services will be held today (June 21) at 1:30 p.m. at W. L. Pruitt Funeral Home in Moreland with Rev. David Smith officiating. Burial will be in Hustonville Cemetery. Vanhook, Melodie Lynn Dunbar, age 33, of James-town, Ky., passed away Monday, October 17, 2005 at her home. She was born March 5, 1972 the daughter of Perry and Lena Rose Dunbar who survive. She married Marlin Vanhook who survives. She is survived by two daughters-Maria Lynn Cooper and Miranda Rose Cooper both of Jamestown, Ky.; grandparents-Ralph and Mae Hancock of Eubank. She was preceded in death by her grandparents-Chester and Emma Meece. Funeral services were held Friday, October 21, 2005 at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Ernie Wyatt officiating. VAN HOOK, Rosemary, 74, Norfleet Drive, Somerset, died Monday, Jan. 20, 2003, at The Highlands Assisted Care in Somerset. She was born in the Ruth community May 1, 1928, daughter of the late Adrian and Rosetta Alexander Colyer. She was a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University with a bachelor’s degree and a school teacher with the Pulaski County School System. She was also a member of Somerset First United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors include three sons, Gary (and Gretchen) Colyer, Seattle Wash., Larry (and Linda) Van Hook, Somerset, and Ben (and Judy) Van Hook, Science Hill; a daughter, Teresa (and Glen) Goldenberg, Louisville; a brother, Noel Colyer, Zainesville, Ohio; a sister, Leara Sears, Rensselear, Ind.; 10 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William G. Van Hook, whom she married in 1946, in Rosewell, Ga., and who died in April 1986; her parents; and a sister, Bernice Glover. She was a housewife and the widow of Edward C. Vanoy. Survivors include three daughters, Ramona Armstrong of Louisville, Scarlett Marotta of Nashville, Tenn., and Dina Vanoy of Liberty; two sons, E.W. and Tim Vanoy, both of Liberty; 18 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. VARNER, Peggy L.  -CARROLLTON - Peggy Lyles Varner, 62, formerly of Danville, died Sunday at Hancock County Memorial Hospital in Greenfield, Ind. Born Sept. 13, 1942, in Madison, Ind., she was a daughter of Thelma Booth Hume of Carrollton and the late Wilbur J. Crockett. She was a homemaker, administrator of Cotillion Ridge Nursing Home and a member of Brookville Road Community Church in New Palestine, Ind.  Survivors include her husband, Mark A. Varner of Fountaintown, Ind.; a daughter, Lee Ann Yager of Newton, Ill.; two sons, Todd Lyles of Louisville and Chris Lyles of Lawrenceville, Ind.; a stepdaughter, Stacey O'Dell of Robinson, Ill.; a stepson, Mark E. Varner of Lawrenceville; a brother, Mike Crockett of Carrollton; and five grandchildren.  Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home by the Rev. Hubert Nolan. VAUGHN, Amanda Megan, age 21, of Lexington, Kentucky, formerly of 295 Robertson Road, Columbia, KY passed away suddenly Saturday, February 19, 2005 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, KY. Amanda is survived by her father, Johnny M. Vaughn of Columbia; her mother, Donna J. Brockman Vaughn of Knifley, KY; one sister, Susan Burton of Lexington, KY; one niece, Taylor Marie Burton of Lexington, KY; her maternal grandmother, Margaret J. Dunn of Columbia, KY, and one special uncle, Rick Scott of Morgantown, KY.She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and a host of friends. Amanda was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, James L. "Sonny" and Alice Mae Moran Vaughn and by her maternal grandfather, William Elzie Brockman.    VAUGHN, Mr. Earl, age 67 of Manchester passed away on Friday February 18, 2005 at his home. Funeral services were held on Sunday February 20, 2005 at 1pm at the Whites Branch House of Prayer Holiness Church with Roger Miller, Rodney Vaughn and Bob Bryant officiating. Burial was in the Cool Springs Cemetery in Manchester, Kentucky. He was born May 8, 1937 to the late Theo Vaughn and Lucy Hicks Vaughn. He is also preceded in death by a brother. Survivors include his wife Nannie MacIntosh Vaughn of Manchester. His mother, Lucy Hicks Vaughn and 4 daughters: Lisa and Steve Rogers of Mississippi, Annette and James Maston of Lexington, Tammie R. and Jerry Bryant and Carla and Carla and James Bryant all of Pine Knot. Vaughn, George F., age 71, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2005 at the Harrison County Hospital in Corydon, Ind. He was born February 25, 1934, a native of Ritner, Ky., the son of the late Sherman and Rebecca Corder Vaughn. He married Ruby L. Decker, who survives. He is also survived by two sons-Jeff Vaughn of Indianapolis and Douglas Vaughn of Laconia, Ind.; one daughter-Patricia Thompson of Corydon; onebrother-Fred Vaughn of Somerset, Ky.; five sisters-Ella Dean Vaughn and Irene Jones, both of Ritner, Ky., Nella Adams of Monticello, Ky., Hazel Coffey of Daleville, Ind. and Myrtle Abbott of Crossville, Tenn.; four grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.Preceding him in death was three brothers-Theo, Carson and Elmo Vaught; and two sisters-Oreda Lamar and Bonnie Vaughn. He was a retired machinist from Indiana Gearworks in Indianapolis. VAUGHN, Richard Lincoln, age 96, of Wayne County, Ky. passed away October 12, 2005. He was born in Wayne County, Ky. October 14, 1908 the son of the late Jim and Frona Vaughn.He married Christiana Cash Vaughn who preceded him in death.He is survived by four daughters-Barbara Johnson of Monticello, Ky., Glenda Gibson of New Castle, Ind., Mary Baumer of Woodland, Calif. And Marlene Callanan of Cypress, Calif.; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by eight older siblings. He was a member of First Baptist Church. VAUGHN, Stella Schoolcraft, 97, of Somerset, died Saturday, June 21, 2003 at the Somerset Nursing and Rehabilitation facility. She was born in Burnetta, Ky., on May 29, 1906, a daughter of the late Samuel and Rhodetta Compton Warner. She was a homemaker, and she attended First Baptist Church of Somerset.  Survivors include three sons, Herman (and Ernestine) Schoolcraft of Somerset, George (and Wilma) Schoolcraft of London, Ky., and Charles “C.P.” (and Edna) Schoolcraft of Greenwood, Ind.; two daughters, Carolyn Reeves of Hermitage, Tenn. and Linda (and Bill) Lucas of Tucson, Ariz.; 12 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Christian Perk Schoolcraft, who died in 1946; her second husband, Joseph Vaughn, who died in 1963; four brothers, Hobert, Clifford, Virgil and Charlie Warner; and three sisters, Claudia Roy, Helen Dick and her twin, Bessie Norfleet. Funeral services will be Monday, June 23 at 10 a.m. at Pulaski Funeral Home in Somerset with Dr. Paul Chitwood officiating.
