YARMER, Louis E. - STANFORD - Louis E. Yarmer,
80, of Stanford, died Thursday at Christian Care Center, Lancaster. Born
Dec. 19, 1924, in Pittsburgh, Pa., he was a son of the late Louis and Flossie
Yarmer. He was a service manager for General Motors and a member of Gilberts
Creek Baptist Church and Aurora Shriners in Aurora, Ill. Survivors include
his wife, Helen "Pat" Miller Yarmer; and a sister, Marjorie Yarmer of Spring
Arbor, Mich. Services will be 11 a.m. Sunday at Gilberts Creek Baptist
Church by Morris Trayner. Burial will be in Richardsville Baptist Church
Cemetery, Richardsville, Pa. Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Memorials

YATES, Mary Elizabeth Dennis - HARRODSBURG - Services
for Mary Elizabeth Dennis Yates, 85, of Harrodsburg, will be 2 p.m. Thursday
at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home by the Rev. Don Chase. Burial will
be in Spring Hill Cemetery. She died Sunday at Ephraim McDowell Regional
Medical Center. Born Jan. 7, 1920, in Mercer County, she was the daughter
of the late Joseph Brown and Viola Hurst Dennis. She retired from Owens-Corning
in Illinois after 42 years of service, and was a member of Harrodsburg
Christian Church, Homemakers Club and Harrodsburg Christian Church Quilters.
She had been a champion bowler in her younger days and was the widow of
Clois R. "Bud" Yates. Survivors include a brother, Carlos Dennis of Lexington;
and a sister, Beatrice Dennis Walters of Burgin. Pallbearers will be Mark,
Mike and Tim Dennis, Tom and Bob Ballard and Jim Walters. Visitation is

Yocum, Connie -WAYNESBURG - Services for Connie
Sue Bullock Yocum, 45, of Waynesburg, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Pleasant

She died Monday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Born Sept.
1, 1959, in Lincoln County, she was a daughter of Tyrone Eldridge of Waynesburg
and Helen Holloway of Danville. She was a beautician, Lincoln County school
bus driver, mail carrier and a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.
She was a 1977 graduate of Lincoln County High School. Survivors include
a son, Jeff Bullock of Stanford; a daughter, Angie Goetz of Waynesburg;
two stepdaughters, Heather and Megan Yocum, both of Stanford; four half
brothers, Scott Holloway and Jim Russell, both of Stanford, Roy Russell
of Waynesburg and Tony Eldridge of Liberty; two stepbrothers, Rodney Sims
of Stanford and Larry Russell of Waynesburg; a half sister, Tracy Eldridge
of Danville; a stepsister, Carol Sims of Danville; and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Rick and Rob Slone, David, Glenn, John and Roy Eldridge.

YOUNG, Alvin, 78, of Perkins Avenue, died
Saturday at Danville Centre for Health and Rehabilitation. Born July 5,
1926, in Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Curtis Young and Celia
Hale Young. He was a mechanic at Corning Glass Works and Phillips Lighting,
a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Mt. Moriah Christian Church.
He is a former Junction City police officer, city council member and police
judge. He was a barber in Danville and Lexington, and he owned the Grill
Restaurant in Stanford. Survivors include his wife, Lida Gentry Young;
two daughters, Betty J. Lay of Danville and Barbara J. Warner of Deep Creek;
three sons, Jackie D. Young of Junction City, Jerry T. Young of Perryville,
and Gene Young of Danville; a sister, Eula Lee Cleaversey of Cookeville,
Tenn.; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Services will
be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Stith Funeral Home. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs
Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Monday. Memorials may go

Young, Clyde - STANFORD - Services for E. Clyde
Young, 89, of Stanford, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Stanford Baptist Church
by the Rev. Max Hester. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens. He
died Wednesday at St. Joseph Hospital East in Lexington. Born April 23,
1915, in Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Lucien S. Young and
Susie P. Mulinix. He was a Kentucky Utilities service manager in Stanford
for 44 years, and a member of Stanford Baptist Church where he was deacon
emeritus. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, having been
stationed in Guam. Survivors include his wife, Frances Young; a son, Bradley
C. Young of Nicholasville; a daughter, Marsha Jackson of Louisville; a
brother, Ollie Young of Danville; two sisters, Betty Metcalf of Lancaster
and Mildred Gaffney of Berea; and four grandchildren. Pallbearers are deacons
of Stanford Baptist Church. Honorary pallbearers are Joe Kernen, Jack Johnson,

Tuesday at his home. Born Dec. 24, 1933, in Lincoln County, he was the

Church and a life member of Disabled American Veterans. Survivors include
his wife, Joann Payne Young; three sons, Curtis Young of Florence, David
Young of Lancaster and John D. Young of Orlando, Fla.; a daughter, Alice
Young of Perryville; a brother, Cleaster A. Young of Danville; eight grandchildren;

YOUNG, Loretta Mae (nee Gaines), beloved
mother of Richard and Susan Burbidge, devoted daughter of Madora and the
late James Gaines, dear sister of James Gaines, Stanley Gaines, Pearl Bryant
and William Gaines, also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Passed
away on September 25, 2001, after a brief battle with cancer. Mrs. Young
was an avid and accomplished Bridge player and a member of the American
Bridge Association. She was a mentor for the Cincinnati Youth Collaborative
and a volunteer for many area organizations. She had a great desire to
help others especially children. Mrs. Young was a faithful and active member
of the Zion Baptist Church. A memorial service will be held on Saturday,
September 29, 2001 at 11 A.M. at Zion Baptist Church, 630 Glenwood Avenue,
Avondale. If so desired, memorials can be made to Hospice of Cincinnati.
YOUNG, Margaret, 72, of East Peoria, Il. passed
away Tuesday, May 25, 2004 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
She was born July 11, 1931 in Spann, Ky., the daughter of the late Harrison
W. and Clara Lambert Hardwick. She married Isaac Young on April 9, 1948,
who survives. She is survived by three daughters-Joyce Ann Majors of Morton,
Vicki Raylene Benson of Jacksonville, Florida, and Sherry Lynn Elsey of
Nashville, Tennessee; one son-Jeffrey Allen Young of Marquette Heights;
six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two brothers-William Lee
Hardwick of Pekin and Eliza Porter Hardwick of Arizona. Preceding her in
death was one son-David Randall Young; one brother; and seven sisters.
She was a member of the South Pekin Baptist Church where she had formerly
been a Sunday School teacher, a Vacation Bible School teacher, a choir
member, and president of the Women’s Missionary Union. Funeral services
were held Saturday, May 29, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. at Preston-Hanley Funeral
Home, Pekin Chapel with Rev. Claude Craig officiating. Burial was in Woodrow

Young, Morrison ‘Jack’ -HARRODSBURG
- Morrison "Jack" Young, 74, of Deland, Fla., died Monday in the Deland
hospital. Born Dec. 12, 1930, in Perryville, he was a son of the late Marcus
and Mary Bradley Young. He was a retired lineman for Cincinnati Gas and
Electric Co. and Union Light and Power Co. He served in the Army during
the Korean War and was a member of Masonic Lodge, Loyal Order of Moose
and Fraternal Order of Eagles in Ormond Beach, Fla. Survivors include his
wife, Nora Lawson Young; three daughters, Jackie Mesina of West Chester,
Ohio, Sandra Coons and Monica Carroll, both of Anchorage, Alaska; nieces
and nephews in Boyle and Mercer counties; and five grandchildren. He was
preceded in death by a son, James K. Young. Services were 11 a.m. Monday
at Linnemann Funeral Home in Burlington. Burial will be in Forest Lawn

Young, Ruby Hinkle, age 77, of Corbin, passed
away on Friday, March 11, 2005 at the Baptist Regional Medical Center in
Corbin, KY. She was born April 2, 1927 in Knox County to the late Arthur
and Edna Messer Hinkle. She was a homemaker and a member of the Chapel
Grove Baptist Church.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death
by her husband, Maurice Young in 2000, (3) brothers; Homer, Earl, and H.C.
Hinkle and a sister; Ethel Mitchell. She is survived by (2) daughters;
Kellie Gentling and her husband; Todd of Broken Arrow, OK, (formerly of
Corbin) and Mary Manns and her husband, George of Woodbine, KY. (5) grandchildren;
Shawn M. Young, Shaun Manns, Aaron Manns, Paige and Claire Gentling, (1)

Zimmerman and the late Jess Zimmerman. He is survived by three brothers-Ralph

ZIPF, Robert Eugene Sr., M.D., 87 of Kettering,
passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2000.Dr. Zipf was born April 20, 1913
in Trumbull County, OH to Eugene and Opal (Henry) Zipf. He is survived
by four children, Robert E. Zipf Jr., M.D. of Rocky Mt., NC, Janis Zipf
Maeder of Cincinnati, OH, William B. Zipf, M.D. of Worthington, OH and
Thomas H. Zipf, D.D.S. of Bellbrook, OH; eight grandchildren and two great
grandchildren; one brother, Col. Karl A. Zipf of Dover, DE. Dr. Zipf graduated
from Miami University, Oxford, OH B.A. in 1936 and the Ohio State University
College of Medicine, M.D. in 1940. He married the former Meriam Murr on
December 31, 1938. She preceded him in death on January 14, 1999. He served
in the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1942-1946 serving as a Flight surgeon and
obtaining the rank of Major. Throughout his medical career, Dr. Zipf served
as the Associate Director, Diagnostic Laboratories at Miami Valley Hospital
(1947-1970); operated his private medical practice, Zipf Diagnostic Laboratories
in Dayton (1947-1970); was Director of Research Miami Valley Hospital (1950-1968);
was the Director of Department of Nuclear Medicine, Miami Valley Hospital
(1952-1972); was certified as a Clinical Pathologist by the American Board
of Pathology (1960); served as Coroner, Montgomery County (1952-1980);
was Consultant, U.S.A.F. Hospital, W.P.A.F.B., OH (1952), attending staff
appointment (1960); was Director of Laboratories and Director of Nuclear
Medicine, Stouder Memorial Hospital, Troy, OH (1967-1981) and was President,
Medical Diagnostic Service Division of W.R. Grace and Co. which merged
with Zipf Laboratories, Inc. (1970). Among his other accomplishments,
Dr. Zipf was a member of the Board of Editors of the American Journal of
Clinical Pathology and the Journal of Nuclear Medicine, an active member
of the Montgomery County Medical Society and the Ohio State Medical Association,
receiving numerous awards of merit for distinguished service. He was Past-President
of the Ohio State Coroners Association and Past-President of the Miami
University Alumni Association. He had received the Silver Beaver Award
from the Boy Scouts of America for distinguished service and had received
awards of merit from the American College of Nuclear Medicine, the Leukemia
Society and the Ohio State Coroners Association. He had also received the
1980 Sheriff Bernard L. Keller Memorial Award forOutstanding Public Service.
Dr. Zipf was a member of Rotary International, the Miami University Alumni
Association and the Boy Scouts of America. He was a member and deacon of
the Fairmont Presbyterian Church. Dr. Zipf was dedicated to the improvement
of health and safety. A director of medical research, he was involved in
developing modern medical diagnostic procedures andcontributed to numerous
articles to scientific journals. As Coroner of Montgomery County, he instituted
the scientific investigation of deaths. The investigations led to improvements
in public safety on the highways, work place and home. His love of medicine
led him to encourage and support many young people in the field of Health
Science. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the
family with entombment at Davids Mausoleum. If desired, the family requests
that contributions be made in Dr. Zipf's memory to the Miami Vally Hospital

ZINSER, Elizabeth J. "Bettie'' (nee
Lother), beloved wife of 55 years of Robert L. Zinser Sr., dear mother
of Peggy S. (Dave) Shafer, Robert L. (Betty) Zinser Jr., James Richard
Zinser and the late Patricia Ann Collins, also survived by 12 grandchildren
and two great grandchildren, sister of Margie Ford, Marcie Ann Dailey,
