"Hang on Sloopy"

ATTENTION...I have moved ALL my family pages to a 'secure private site' or completely removed them.  I have had many, many compliments about my pages; I really hated to have to do this, BUT due to the ABUSE and use of MY DATA, PICTURES AND RESEARCH from a particular 'researcher', it is necessary!
This researcher has copied 99% of MY data and pictures.....I have never had a problem with sharing, but do have a problem when no credit is given or permission;  I contacted this researcher; she fabricated a story as to where she gained this information....a complete falsehood...when I pressed the issue, more lies and fabrication.  She then said she received them via email by a particular person....BUT this person happend to be an elderly, ill cousin of mine and had NEVER owned a computer!!! I HAD LISTED this cousin as one of my sources.  MANY pictures were 'one of a kind' that was only in my family.

I asked this researcher (I use that term loosely) to either remove ALL my data and pictures if she could not be truthful of  ownership of the data and pictures.  She apparently chose to 'still claim the research as her own, etc.'
She did remove some of the pictures for her FTM page, ancestry and rootsweb..BUT FAILED/FORGOT TO REMOVE MY NOTES, WORD FOR WORD for certain individuals...these notes were not of a sensitive nature, but NOT known generally or in any 'public documents'.  She also has a MyFamily page.

 (I have printed out the pages to keep as my 'proof')  The 'updated dates' of 2003 is the timeline that I confronted her.
ALL THIS RESEARCHER NEEDED TO DO WAS: list me as owner of my data, owner of the pictures; tell the truth about WHERE and HOW she gained it; I would not have had a problem with it...but she chose to do NONE of the above.

THIS researcher calls her sites 'All My Relations' and is Delena 'Dee' Reynolds. She claims she has pictures to share...beware...they probably belong to someone else, without permission.  I have also spoke with other researchers that seem to have had the same problem with Ms. Reynolds.

I have had much help in my quest for my roots, but have always tried to list these folks and sources, and I THANK everyone for the help.  There are many other researchers that are working on some of the same lineages that I am...but they haven't 'hijacked' from others.  It's too bad that some have to ruin it for others.
