The Roman Catholic priests wear purple and scarlet. In fact, cardinals are so
widely known for their scarlet colors that red cardinal birds get their name
from the color of the robes that these priests wear.

Historically, these colors were used to link the Roman Catholic priests to the
royal colors of the Roman Empire. In a similar way, they call themselves
'princes of the church'.
One of the first (perhaps the first) explanation of this use was made in the
Donation of Constantine, which was used by the Roman Catholic church for more
than 800 years to justify its control over all of Europe. In it the claim to the
right to use the royal colors is made as being granted from Constantine. Most
historians now consider the donation to have been forged by the Roman Catholic
church.

"In return for which, [...] our father,-the chief pontiff and universal pope
of the city of Rome,-and to all the pontiffs his successors, who until the end
of the world shall be about to sit in the seat of St. Peter: we concede and, by
this present, do confer, our imperial Lateran palace, which is preferred to, and
ranks above, all the palaces in the whole world; then a diadem, that is, the
crown of our head, and at the same time the tiara; and, also, the shoulder
band,-that is, the collar that usually surrounds our imperial neck; and also the
purple mantle, and crimson tunic, and all the imperial raiment; ..."
Christians noticing the use of these colors by the Roman Catholic clergy is also
not new. Here is an example from the Geneva Bible, 1599.

"(b) A scarlet colour, that is, with a red and purple garment: and surely it
was not without cause the romish clergy were so much delighted with this colour."
If you keep your eyes open, you will see a flood of pictures on the news wires
with the Roman Catholic priests dressed in purple and scarlet.
Have you also seen a whore dressed in purple and scarlet? Now is the day to flee
Babylon. Now is the day to turn to Jesus Christ and be saved.
