Vin Diesel is the voice of the Giant, a daunting task which he fulfills wonderfully.  He builds the role of the massive robot with great skill and in stages... as the Giant learns to talk and express himself through motion, so does Diesels voice express more texture and dynamic.  There are so many great moments, from the "rock, tree" bit, to the heartbreaking sacrifice of the Giant and him telling Hogarth not to follow.
Vin is a successful screenwriter, filmmaker and actor, most recently seen in Multi-Facial and Saving Private Ryan.  And if they're looking for another Dark Jedi for Star Wars, I'd say Vin is the man!
