The "Iron Man" Pitch
Several years ago Richard pitched
the idea of Ted Hughes book "The Iron Man" to Don Bluth. Suffice
to say, it wasn't made, but Richard has graciously supplied The Iron Giant
Scrap Yard with some of his character images and a step outline of the
plot. It more closely resembles the plot of the book, with the Space
Dragon and other details intact. These drawings are great and suggest
the myriad of interpretations that are possible.
