DISASTER WARNING – III

The American Revolution:   Justified – It provided freedom for the people of this nation. 

The Civil War:   Justified – It stopped a division of the country and freedom for the slaves.  

World War I and II:   Both Justified – They brought peace and liberation for affected areas of the world.  

Korean Conflict:   Justified – We did not win this war but it has provided some stability and peace in Asia. 

Vietnam Peace Keeping Action:   Unjustified - We lost this conflict because we were trying to police the world.  It turned into our “Water Lou”.   We paid a great price for this disaster, but we don’t seem to have heeded the lessons learned.       

Afghanistan:   Justified due to terrorist attack of 9-11.   This is another lost cause since the War Lords are still controlling the country, the drug trade flourishes and Bin Laden is still free.  

Iraq Invasion:  Unjustified - Removing one Dictator has not changed anything.   No weapons of mass destruction.  Country is divided into three ethnic groups.   Terrorism is taking a great toll on them and us.   This disaster has taken thousands of lives and is not finished.  There is a possibility of a civil war when we do get out.  

Every war has disastrous effects.   I believe we win those wars and have GODs support for those that are right and justifiable.
