Have you ever really looked at your surroundings and
ask yourself how
can this be? Take your heart, as an example, and consider the
work it
does. The average life expectancy is approximately
77 years. The
heart starts beating before you are delivered in birth. It
continues
to beat 24 hours a day for however long you live - l minute to maybe
100 years. The average person never even thinks about this
until they
have a heart attack or has someone who suffers one. The King
James
Bible tells us that God has allotted us up to 120 years. Only
a very
few people live past 100. Man has devised an artificial heart
that
might last 10 years, so how does that compare with the one we were
given at birth? Not very good I’m afraid. Now let’s take a look at another thing we all take for granted. That is the air we breathe from birth to death. The oxygen we breathe every hour of every day is regenerated by the trees that grow on this planet. Forests are being destroyed daily for what some say is for a better life style. That is another issue apart from this paper. What if there were no longer any trees to supply our oxygen? Man in all of his so called wisdom cannot build anything that would make even a small dent in supplying oxygen for one day to the billions of people on earth. This brings up the question did it just happen by accident? I for one don’t think so. Scientist says that this process has been going on for thousands of years. I believe that there was a creator and he had a plan. A creator whose knowledge was so superior that mankind will never attain even a very small piece of that knowledge. Next I think we should take a look at the earth itself. The Bible tells us that there is nothing new on this earth. This planet consists of many things, some of which are dirt; rocks, and water. Science is capable of rearranging many of these things, but cannot produce new ones. Here again, like the air we breath, they have been here since time began. Let’s take the Atom which took man thousands of years to just discover it was here. They are still trying to use and control it. My theory is that someone knew more about it than man will ever know even before earth existed. The last century has produced a wealth of knowledge which has improved mans life style, but again we are not even scratching the surface. Maybe we should explore the area of water. Another thing that man cannot live without. Think of the proportion of the human body and the Earth that are water. Everyone is aware that the Oceans are salt water and that man and animals need fresh water to survive. There is a natural process for insuring this drinkable water. Then there is the rain and snow which supplies water to the land. What an amazing creator it took to put this all in place. If you put all of the greatest scientists together with every device known to man they could not duplicate these works. Nothing of this magnitude could ever be duplicated. Something amazing is how all the water flows continually from the lakes, down rivers, to the sea and the lakes never go dry nor the Ocean overflow. This process has been repeating itself for thousands of years. Then there is the Universe with all its planets, stars, moons, and suns. Science has no real knowledge of just how big it is. It’s interesting to note that every one of them is located precisely and function accordingly. Let’s take our own sun which comes up in the east in the morning and goes down in the west in the evening. Just suppose there wasn’t a pattern to all of the Universe and what a mess it would be if the Planets, Stars, etc. started changing orbit and traveling in any and all directions. I’ll never be convinced that this all just happened. I will concede that the big bang theory might be the start of it all but someone had to light the fuse. The Bible tells us that God made the Heavens and the Earth, but it does not tell us how he planned or accomplished it. I do know that he is capable and performed a magnificent work. |
