There are a lot of people who believe that we are really
an advanced (modern) society. Well after all we can get on
a plane and fly coast to coast in a matter of hours. I have
two thoughts about that. If you believe your Bible, which I do,
there were Angels with wings before man existed. Secondly
there are numerous reports of people who saw things which just faded
from sight. This would make the Star Trek “beam me up
Scotty” obsolete. Something that we can all see is
the birds in the sky and they don’t have to have any mechanical
help. The human body is something that we all take for granted (until something goes wrong with it) yet is probably one of the most complex and extra-ordinary designs known. Each portion of it works in coordination with other body parts. The brain is one of the greatest computers in existence; unfortunately most of us just use a small portion of it. It is continually sending messages to all parts of the body which keeps them functioning. Note that all portions of the body are in the right place to sustain its operations. The toes are on the feet, ears on the head, etc. Some people believe this all just came about by evolution. I say that theory is nuts! No one has ever explained where step one of that process came from. I believe in a creator who made man in his own image. The Bible tells us that man was formed from dust and that God breathed life into it. It also states that we will return to dust, thus the fact that when we die we do go back to the ground. Earlier we talked about the Universe but left out one extra-ordinary fact that of all the things that are out there this is the only Planet that is known to have human life. This brings us to life itself. Life has a different meaning for each of us because we are individuals. Just as no two people have identical fingerprints there aren’t any two persons whose life is the same. There is one thing which affects everyone on this planet. Because we are all born in sin we are all going to die? Even the SON of GOD died and was buried but his death was as a sacrifice for the sins of all of us. His was a sacrifice that those who believe in him and confess him will spend eternity (not 77 years but forevermore) with him. The above points have been put together as thought provoking areas that we should take time to consider. Each of us should take a few minutes time to ask about our existence here on earth. That should illicit a number of questions in each persons mind. Who am I? Why am I here? Where do I go from here? Is this all there is? What happens after I die? My “King James Version of the Bible answers every question that I have. A LIVING GOD who created and controls all of the things previously discussed. |
