Drug and Alcohol abuse are two of Satan’s
big lies. They are material things which cause death and
destruction. The abuse of these items creates
devastation and extreme family hardships when family members get hooked
on them. There have been alcoholics and drug abusers
in my family and I have seen first hand the impact they have on other
family members. Satan says come on have a little fun
- join the party it can’t hurt you. It can ruin your
life if you listen to that. I don’t exclude myself
from these activities for as a young man I too made the rounds of the
bars. However, when I married my wife (50+ years ago) I
found out my salary would not support both a wife and
bartender. I’ve never had a drug problem as I hate
taking medication. There is another side to the use
of drugs and alcohol. I currently take 16+ pills per day
for congestive heart failure and a very weak heart muscle.
I believe it is God’s will that these drugs were discovered and
his way of extending my life here on earth. Drugs that are
used in a (controlled) doctor prescribed and not abused are made for
the good of all mankind. Now we can look at alcohol
use. First let’s eliminate the myth that all of
it is a sin and bad news. JESUS turned the water into wine
for the wedding party. At the Last Supper JESUS gave the
Disciples wine. The medical profession says that one or two
glasses of wine per day with a meal can be a healthy thing for some
individuals. These things can be of value IF THEY ARE
USED CORRECTLY AND NOT IN EXCESS. Homosexual and lesbian (which have been downgraded to the term Gay) are an abomination and contrary to the laws of natural mankind. The Bible teaches that “MAN SHALL NOT LIE DOWN WITH MAN” and this must apply to WOMEN as well. Men and Women are here to create new life (off-spring). Two men or two women cannot produce children thus the normal progression of man is curtailed. Normal animal reproduction is accomplished by a male and female process. This is another reasonable proof that Gay combinations are morally wrong. Most reasonable people will agree that killing someone is totally wrong. GOD has given us life; therefore he is the only one who has the right to take it away. Many people believe that life begins at conception. If this is true and I strongly believe that it is then abortion is the taking of a new life. That fetus has as much right to grow and live as I did. Suppose for arguments sake that your Mother had decided not to have you and you had been aborted. It’s agreed that Women should have control of their body but that concerns rape, abuse and anything that is detrimental to their well being but does not mean killing a baby. Neither Men nor Women should enter into a sexual union that could produce human life except in the case of a couple who are man and wife. When a child is born both the Husband and Wife are completely responsible for the care, well being and spiritual upbringing of the newborn child. There are many other forms of the devils works. One that affects most families at some point in life is sickness and disease. Daily someone is asking “Why Me”? Remember the Garden of Eden where everything was perfect. Well when the serpent (Satan) lied to and tempted Eve into disobeying God’s Command sin was born and one of the results was sickness, plagues, diseases and death. We are all under that sentence. One of the current day plagues is AIDS which was brought on by man’s immorality. We have a God who loves us and has provided, Doctors, Dentists, and Scientist to give us some cures for such things as Polio, smallpox, and other diseases to numerous to mention. It would be interesting to know how many researchers believe that theirs is a gift from God and that he provides the answers up to a certain point. There will never be an answer for curing all the ills of the world until the end of time. |
