As usual, a GREAT BIG Derby King disappointment!  Their shows are simply NOT worth attending!  This event attracted only 10 total cars (down from 16 one year ago),
and comes on the heels of their 1-heat, 6-car mid-size derby in '08.  The Boone County Fair Board needs to give these guys the boot!  2 heats consisting of 5 cars each, a
3-car consolation and 5-car FINALS doesn't even justify driving to the fairgrounds, much less paying to see!  TERRIBLE and totally inexcusable.  While it lasted, cars hit
hard without.any "sandbagging," but there just weren't enough of them to make it worthwhile.  Crowd was down from years past, but grandstand was full.  What a shame.
