|
| All
in all, the best night of derby action Butler County has ever seen despite
the smaller than usual number of cars and trucks. Typical "sandbagging"
reputation of |
| these
derbies was not evident on this night at least. Mowers were present,
but were properly contested while the main track was cleared in preparation
of the next heat, |
| although
3-mower race that began the evening's competition was a total waste.
Event was hard hitting for the most part, and Truck heat was highlighted
by 3 roll-overs! |

NOTE: Mower Competition excluded from scoring - |
|
| Monday
was a fluke! Friday's program restored Butler County's reputation
of hosting THE WORST derbies known to man with little to NO hitting at
all other than "love taps!" |
| Track
was too wet from previous day's rain and little effort was made to set
the stage for a hard hitting derby. Lawn mowers hit harder than the
cars, but (lack of) security per- |
| mitted
people to stand along the fence and block the view of those in the grandstand,
many of whom arrived several hours in advance to obtain a good seat.
Track officials |
| were
forced to stop competition on several occasions in efforts to encourage
drivers to hit each other, but to no avail. A couple of heats still
took upwards of an hour to |
| complete
and they awarded a bogus "mad dog" award to the most notorious "SANDBAGGER"
these derbies have known through the years - 331 Jason Pennington.
By the |
| time
the zig-zagging was all said and done, The Fair was over for the night
which cheats the venders out of business. This was worse than awful
- a total RIP OFF! These |
| Butler
County shows always attract standing room only crowds that get the shaft
every year! These p*ss poor exhibitions tarnish the image of demo
derbies EVERYWHERE. |
|
|
|
| NOTE:
This is one of the highest priced Fairs around since grandstand entertainment
is NOT included with the price of admission, and rides and games cost extra
as well.. The |
| people
that run this Fair are quite UNFRIENDLY and the derbies appear FIXED for
the same people to win year after year which makes one NOT want to support
future installments. |
