SMARTY JONES WINS KENTUCKY DERBY 130
Derby 130 Smarty Jones - KY Derby
Funny Cide in '03 - this year, just plain "Funny"
Managed to catch $65 exacta, but trifectas and supers went
belly-up with off the board finish of THE CLIFF'S EDGE.
Uncharacteristically, Churchill strip exhibited speed bias for
the derby day card and once again the big race is suspiciously
won by a dying owner - "funny" (as in funny business)

It's a SMARTY PARTY at the 129th RUNNING OF THE PREAKNESS STAKES
The Preakness Stakes Smarty Jones - Preakness
A rather successful Preakness from a wagering standpoint:
Gift exacta (Smarty Jones over Rock Hard Ten) returns
$24.60 - like giving money away!  An $8 investment on
the superfecta (Smarty and RHT up and down with
Eddington, Borrego, Imperialism and Song of the Sword
third, and Lion Heart fourth) results in a $230.70 reward!
Not bad for a 3/5 shot on top!

Belmont Stakes Finish
Self proclaimed "King of New York" (Gary) cashes in 8 of 10 races bet on
Belmont card including $10 win bet on Birdstone and $30 Board Elligible.
Personally, caught 2-$34 exactas, but split in 6th race exacta when 2nd or 3rd
choice gets between heavily favored Bear Fan and 10-1 Aspen Gal; then
nosed out of 9th race trifecta when Pat Day squeezes  Fire Slam through on
rail to edge Teton Forest; and 2-seconds including 10th race 12-1 best bet
Millennium Dragon (couldn't beat "The King's" Meteor Storm)!  Also, just
missed consolation (5 of 6) pick six payoff when Smarty faltered at 2/5 -
$12 ticket singling Bear Fan, Speightstown, MD and Smarty Jones with
TF and FS in the 9th, and Intercontinental, Dedication, and Riskaverse in 8th.
