| I spent five years as an employee of Patrick
Lang Photography, during which time I created, developed, and maintained
an elaborate 70 plus page web site for the company. It was my Masterpiece.
I hosted the site myself for two years via my own personal access to web
space, and am responsible for it's current location. An overview
of the site began on the THOROUGHBRED
Page, originally one of my
personal pages before Pat Lang even had a web site. Featuring mostly
my pictures, the site still exists today almost precisely as I built it.
The only changes being the replacement of my index pages (which contained
numerous links to the various sections of the site) with new front
pages devoid of links, the absence of which resulted in a state of disarray
for more than a year! This omission of links left no way for a visitor
to navigate the site without prior knowledge of its url's! As a result,
hundreds of pictures were available on the site, yet no one knew they were
there! The site remained "in limbo" for over a year, until I posted
the oversight here. In response, they created an "archive links"
page. Shouldn't I be compensated in some way for pointing out your
negligence, Pat? Oh, ... I guess that was another freebie - like
Rachel's wedding!!!
I left my position with this company in February
of 2003 due to irreconcilable differences concerning unethical (read dishonest)
practices on the part of my employer, and have decided NOT to provide
a link to the above mentioned site that bears his name, but is my brain
child and a product of my own imagination, ingenuity and creativity.
Unfortunately, much of the attention to detail in the way the pages themselves
were originally laid out has sadly been lost.
Last time I checked, the site had NOT been updated
with fresh pictures in over a year!
