| Belle
of Louisville |
| Her engines chugged, smoke poured forth from her "tall |
| stacks" and for five days the waters of the mighty Ohio |
| were churned by her spectacular paddlewheel. She's the |
| last original. working Mississippi-River style steamboat |
| in the world and a National Historic Landmark. Built in |
| 1914, no other steamer in American history has been to |
| as many places as she. Truly one of a kind, her calliope |
| music entertained visitors nearly non-stop. 1999 marked |
| her fourth consecutive TALL STACKS appearance, |
| and as expected
The Belle of Louisville stole the show. |
