Bluegrass Chapter Member AA4XA
I've been a ham since 1979, but
became interested in the 60's when my Dad
and I built a Knight Kit receiver.
It took a few more years to finally get
my license, but it was one of
the best things I have ever done. My Dad was
originally 9EE in 1919 at the
age of 13, but with his job and etc.
he never got back into the hobby.
I enjoy net operations, DXing,
working contests,
and just rag chewing on the
7.272 net . Have DXCC (245 confirmed), 5B-WAS,
5B-WAC, WPX - 800, CQDX-200,
IOTA -125, WAZ, DUPF Class 1 (France),
British Commonwealth Award Class
1, active on the Geratol Net on 80m.
I have served as President of
the Whitewater ARC in Connersville, IN, and
am a QCWA member #32356 with
Bluegrass Chapter #214, I am the current
secretary of the River Cities
Amateur Radio Assoc. in Ashland, KY.
I alsoenjoy coaching baseball
and will be entering my 25th
year of coaching this summer
(2007).
