Bluegrass Chapter Member KY4M
I first learned the code when
I was in the 6th grade, way back in 1970 or so. I
remained very interested in
radio and electronics while I was growing up.
My next door neighbor installed
the first cable television systems in Kentucky and
I was constantly at his side
watching him and learning from him.
He was a real genius and spiked
my interest in science.
I received my first CB radio
for Christmas in 1973 and very quickly grew out of
that into ham radio. I
got my first Novice ticket (WN4BHA) in 1974, when I was a
sophomore in high school.
I have remained active in ham radio ever since.
Other calls I have held include
WB4BHA and KA4GUD. I currently hold and extra class license.
I am a lifetime member of QCWA,
ARRL and the Mammoth Cave Amateur Radio Club.
I am also a member of the Bullitt
Amateur Radio Society (BARS).
I have worked almost all of my
career in the pharmaceutical industry.
I am currently the Executive
Director of National Accounts and Trade Relations for
Mayne
Pharma, a manufacturer of specialty oncology injectable drugs.
I am from Glasgow but now live
in Louisville with my wife Sarah.
We have a 22 year old daughter
Alex getting ready to graduate from U
of L (Go Cards)!
Neither Sarah nor Alex have the
ham bug.

Matt
