9-13-2001 Um, yeah. King Kai (Kaio-Sama to the subbies) just said "Fat fucking half-pint". I swear to God I heard him say it on yesterday's ep of Dragon Ball Z on Toonami. I was shocked and just dismissed it since you can hardly tell what he's saying anyways. However, I checked the PN messageboards and lo and behold he apparently DID say it! Supposedly Cartoon Network ran the uncut version for some reason (accidentallly, I guess). Be interesting to see if we hear it on its second run. I guess this is an historic occasion of sorts. Not unusual since something similar happened before (go to the DBZ!!!1 bios page and you'll see, hehe). Wierd, wierd, wierd. 9-12-2001 Yesterday was the first time America has been attacked since Pearl Harbor. Today 1000s are now dead, more will probably die, 1 great landmark has been destroyed completely and another is severly damaged, and the nation cries for revenge. I just hope that there is no followup to this cowardly assault and that the anguish those who lost loved ones will recede. Well, that's all I have to say about that and that Afghanistan will make a fine parking lot. As for the site I updated a few sections, just look and around and you'll see. Beyond the tragedy of yesterday little has happened newswise. The Episode I DVD has been released (or is about to be released, I am not sure which). Theforce.net gave it a very favorable review if you're interested. For those who don't know, the DVD contains 7 new scenes, tons of extras, and digitally remastered everything. Well, that's about it for today. Lates. 9-6-2001 Update, woohoo! Busy with college and crap, but I have an update for you kids (all....2 of you). I made a new quotes section with some of my favorite quotable quotes. Newswise, Dragonball aired on CN recently and you know what? I love it. The original music was kept in, a good original ending theme was used, the censorship is rather light, and *gasp* the dialogue is almost exactly the same as the Japanese version. Ok, the voices kinda suck (except for a couple, Mai's is actually quite good), but the VAs will get the hang of it soon. Oh my! Silent Hill 2 will be released the 25th! Somehow by then I will have to scrounge up enough for a PS2 and the game, either that or wait until Christmas (bah). Damn the world for not giving me money! Anyways, I present the random picture of the moment, this time from Final Fantadsy VIII. You can't tell from this shrunk down version, but Cid is actually not a polygon model like the other characters in this scene but is in fact a part of the background. Oh those crazy Japanese programmers! Lates. ![]() 8-10-2001 AGGGGHHHH! An update! Well, it's about time. I have finaly updated the page so make sure you check around and see what is new. I'll have news and stuff later, but for now just chew on that. When I was writing this update to the main page last night, Windows crashed before I could save it so rather than rewrite the rather long thing I just said "fuck it" and this is all you will see for today. Go America! Laters. PS- To assuage the anguish you must feel about not getting any news, here is a random pic! Until tomorrow! Kudos! ![]() 7-9-2001 Yep, more updates to the DBZ section. Yes I will update the other sections (in fact I have already done so a bit). I also made a minor subtraction from the files section, and speaking of which that section will probably be my first to overhaul (probably by actually adding files *gasp*). Also, before I finish the FFT special party, I will probably have a Counterstrike scrapbook up. It will take me a couple days to get the shots, but it will be done soon. That about covers the site stuff. In news action, Final Fantasy opens on Wednesday, and I will most definitely be there. If Final Fantasy: Legend of the Crystals is any indication...it will suck. But if the actual game series is an indication, then it will rock. Either way $8.25 is outrageous for a damned movie pass. In console news it appears Sega was not entirely accurate when they said they were out of the console business. It appears they are actually making Dreamcasts. This is an odd move although it makes sense when you consider that the things are flying off the shelves on both sides of the Pacific (Europe declined to comment). And yes, my playstation is almost officially dead. After its second major surgery I was able to get a few games to run for a while, but the little grey wonder just couldn't handle the cinemas of Final Fantays IX. *Sniff* hopefully I can go under the hood sometimes in the next few days and fix the problem. If not, well that is what emulation is for. Laters. 7-4-2001 Teh dbz, *ahem*, I mean the dbz section has been updated and I will soon update the FFT scrapbook with pics of my new party made up of Final Fantasy and possibly anime characters. Working with gameshark codes is a bitch, but I will have the party done soon. For now here is a pic of Cloud, and for those who probably think it is just the Cloud you pick up in Chapter 4, take a look at Ramza and the other members of the party. Newswise, not much has happened lately. The next Bleemcast pak will be Metal Gear Solid and should be in stores any day. The problem is, it is unkown which stores will even carry it. Oh well, better to play it on a computer psx emulator anyways, since they play more than one game , heh. Final Fantasy comes into theaters next Wednesday and hopefully I will be there to see it (or watch the bootlegged vcd of it next Monday, heh, j/k). I have pretty low expectations of it since it appears to have little to do with any FF game except VIII and we all know how that turned out. Finally, take a look at this and ponder the question, "Exactly what runs through the minds of Japanese advertising departments?". ![]() 6-23-2001 I updated the Editorials, Files, and DEEBEEZEE sections so take a look. The promised updates of Wednesday and Thursday never came unfortunately but they will be here soon. In news action it's Quake's 5th birthday today, yes today is the date the original Quake was released. Ah, I remember my first deathmatch on a laggy Mplayer server with 10 other people on a cramped level ("start" ie. the initial level you started in which led to all the episodes was the map, so now you understand how "cramped" it really was) while my 56k chugged along sending out network packets at a snails pace. I only got a couple frags but oh the fun. Nowadays my ping is in double digits and the game looks a little prettier but little has changed. *Sniff* Good old Quake, you will live forever as long as the games servers are alive and kicking. Well, that's all for now. Aufwiedersehen. 6-19-2001 A couple of the pages have been updated and such. I have decided to add more scrapbooks of my various gaming exploits (probably from Counter Strike, Quake 2, Final Fantasy VII, and others). Hopefully it will be done in the next couple of days when I can find the time from my busy schedule *ahem*. Sonic Adventure 2 comes out soon (the 21st I believe, but don't quote me on that), and if the demo is any indication, it will be amazing. It's been a slow news week so that's really all I have for now. Later. 6-15-2001 I put up the first "day" of my Final Fantasy Tactics scrapbook. Go see it. Now. If you're on a 56k it may take a minute to load but if not you should be ok. I may expand it to be just a general Final Fantasy scrapbook, but I don't know. I have also updated the links a bit. And before I forget, if you download Damn the Torpedos, the more observant among you will realize it is missing a file ("vicmess.dat" to be exact). I don't know how the game will run without it, but you can easily make your own (how? just read the code). Speaking of 56k (were we?) Powerplay is back in the news as it has finally materialized. It was apparently sold by Sierra and Cisco to a company that will now base it's ISP on it. It will run about $20 a month and rebates and a server will be given to clans who get their entire team to sign up. This is nice I guess, but definitely not what people were expecting and it may be too late to be effective, since the thing was announced about 2 years ago! I hope you all got your Game Boy Advanced! Now you're playing with power...super power! Ah, old Nintendo marketing, how we miss you. Well, that about covers it for today. Good day and godspeed. 6-14-2001 Well, I have finally done it: I have my own site. I had thought about doing it for a long time but never reallly knew where to do it. Geocities, xoom (*ahem* sorry, NBCI) or Homestead and so many others. But then I thought, why not fully utilize my ISP and have THEM host my web page (getting my money's worth so to speak), so here it is. I'll have numerous features and other special things and of course much expansion. Well, that's all. Guten tag. |
